A cool mod would be... tavern management
There is very little tavern management games out there. Wartales released a tavern DLC but its kinda barebones (the tavern part). There is traveller's rest, but its barely focused on the tavern and also doesn't have much to it.

But skyrim is a perfect game to have a mod where you run your own tavern. I mean it speaks for itself just that.

that be cool too. There are mods now where there are boats (ships too?) you can travel on, so it could work. Dunno if you control the boats though or not if its just a guided path, I just saw them on nexus is all.

Well, there's Real Estate and Landlord which allow you to buy businesses but the income is all passive.

Does this run on the current version of SE?
Tavern management would need to be a separate game all of it's own....

Over the years I'm surprised nobody has made it, probably sounds like a terrible idea when selling it to managers, but it would probably play something like a cross between an RPG and one of those games where you manage a restaurant...

People would play it.... just get someone good at PR to describe it.

There are simulations which have storefront or restaurant management themes. Even the Sims 4, derided as the worst installment in the series by many purists, has a few expansions that allow one to run food serving businesses so one can have either an indoor sit-down location or a traveling curbside vendor now if one is willing to put in the effort (and real world money to buy said expansion) to run them.

Eh, I don't know. While I do think it could be kind of cool if there was a mod for that, there's also a part of me which worries that such a mod would detract from the game itself. A big part of the ES games is dungeon delving, and having to manage a tavern has the potential to be too of a distraction from that. A mod like that seems as it would have a lot of "Hey! Listen!" moments in it, and I don't want my efforts at stopping Alduin to be sidelined by a tavern. Owning a tavern would be one thing, but I think it would be better if instead of both owning and managing it, we could have a steward for it, like we do with the Hearthfire houses.

I can see it now, Elder Scrolls VI: The Search for Sudz

Work for the Minuteminders to establish taverns across the land. Hire wenches.

Go on Quests to find the rare 'hunny' guarded by a mail-wearing bear!

Travel to unknown depths to find the brewer, 'Hops-With-Grain' and learn his secrets.

Discover the 'Grapes of Wrath' spell to create Legendary wine!

If it were as generally hands-off as Goldenglow Estate, it could be an entertaining extra feature that does not over-take the base gameplay loop of dungeon exploration. One could buy the tavern then hire NPCs to run the place, leaving the day-to-day management to an NPC of one's choice.

'Skyrim Together' as it is should be called 'Dragonborn Together'.

'Skyrim Together' would be more like AFT remote control of a follower. Like put the PC's in a cell separate from the world...kind of like the cleanup cell...a 'remote control cell' if you will. Then from there...remote control an NPC in the game world with whatever limited function they have been given. Enchantments might still be goofy...but this is just 'spit-balling'. Feel free to run with said concept anyone with the legs to do so.

That all said...playing as an existing NPC that already has a tavern would be one path to a 'management' mod. Something something economy mod would be somewhere in there...
