Mod help please!
Can anyone help me with mods? Not sure which ones to get… I use vortex and could use some advice to make it “nex-gen” worthy. Love this game just tired of the vanilla experience.

Also I’m still very new to modding in general don’t want to destroy my computer….

You will certainly not destroy your computer. Look for mods that you are interested in. Add those one at a time! Be sure to read the mod's descriptions and meet all requirements. Make sure you have a stable save (without mods) and use it for testing new added mods.

Since you are just getting into modding, before doing anything, you might find it helpful to read this - it has links to everything you need to get a modded game up and running:

Advice to New Players Regarding Modding the Game

Link is in the For Those New to Modding the Game section of the following

from the PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References

As regards possible issues due to the latest update, see this:
The latest 1.6.1130 and 1.6.1170 update and guide - https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/4031350196521219646/

Good luck!

Do you have a mod list that you would recommend?

Not at the moment. I'm still working on my build, but I will see if I can provide some recommendation. It will take some time.

Google "Skyrim mod lists" for ideas, for example https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/1arfmdf/best_2024_mod_list/.

The one I used now (263 mods) was from a few years ago but you could look at this https://eso-ui.com/skyrim-se/ or https://next.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/collections/9zfscf?_gl=1*arigi2*_ga*MjM5MDgxNzY1LjE2MzU1MjE3NTE.*_ga_N0TELNQ37M*MTY1ODc0Njc4My4xODAuMS4xNjU4NzQ4NTM0LjA. and these https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/search/.

The point of a mod list is that the author has already made sure all the mods work together and you should not have any issues. Any problem points will be explained. If you do it yourself you are likely to land in a mess.

Spending a day or two getting your mods set up correctly can make all the difference.

Mod lists have their pros and cons. For me personally is only cons if a mod list contains a mod I don't fancy.

OP might have a look at this guide:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2738338974

Although it's basically for SSE 1.6.640 it is usable for 1.6.1130 and 1.6.1170, but then carefully check the versions of the mods.
