Can you become vampire lord AND join the dawnguard?
I want to get vampire lord mostly because i want to get all achievements, but i don't want to join the vampires. So i was wondering, could i become a vampire lord, get all the perk points and then seek the cure for vampirism before continuing the quest and join the dawnguard? i don't exactly recall how the quest went so im not sure that's a posiblity

you have to join the dawnguard first. then serana (i think that is how you spell it) will come to there base, you have to go to there soul cairn and she will give you the option of ether vampire lord or put your soul in a soul gem

You can become a vampire lord by matter of choice later in the questline. But while a vampire, you will not be given side quests by the Dawnguard. They will ask you to cure yourself first. So you may become a vampire lord, complete the achievements, then cure yourself, then proceed.

In order to get Serana you join the Dawnguard. Once you are a vampire the Dawnguard won't like you and membership is stalled. But yes you can cure yourself later.

So, you can basically side with the Dawnguard and complete their MAIN QUESTS while a Vampire Lord, but not the SIDE QUESTS? This may be something else Jitsu was wondering; I sure am.

Regular vampire is when you get infected with Sanguinare Vampiris and don't treat it soon enough.

Not really, my idea is to get all the perks from vampire lord, so i get the achievement, and then cure myself of vampirism. I prefer being a werewolf since it has no downsides, im just trying to get every achievement in the game in one run since i wasnt able to do it before.
