https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/qs2fjb/some_console_commands_may_disable_achievements_in/
user: Apple314159265358979 has posted the following commands that they say did _not_ disable achievements on use:
player.additem
player.addperk
player.modav CarryWeight
tgm
lock
unlock
setessential
placeatme
player.moveto
openactorcontainer
setlocationcleared
setownership
addspell
AdvSkill
advlevel
bat
player.addtofaction
teachword
unlockword
fov
ResetHealth
playerspellbook
fov seems like an odd thing to forbid, though.
It wasn't Bethesda that dictated the requirement, it was the Console manufacturers. Blame Sony.
that list is commands so far confirmed _not_ to disable achievements, so fov is indeed safe (as it should be). agree that tcl needs to be safe for escaping mesh errors.
kill
resurrect
setrace*
setscale
I'm a Skyrim noob and thus only have one copy (and I don't want to reset my achievements lol), but I've used these commands on Skyrim SE (without the anniversary upgrade), and have still obtained these achievements.
*unknown if player's race can be different than a playable race at the time
But no console commands disable achievements, thats a FO4 thing not a skyrim thing, the warning appears to be a stupid error on Bethesda's part and is meaningless.
The message is meant to dissuade you or isn't explained properly, What that really means isn't "Use of some commands will disable achievements" it's " Improper use of some commands will disable achievements"
Using a console command to force complete a quest or go somewhere you're not supposed to be, obtain a quest item, etc. can bypass game and quest triggers making them impossible to complete causing you to be unable to get an achievement, the actual use of a CC does not void achievements.
