Black screen after going into some locations...
Been working fine for literal weeks, just suddenly today I get black-screens around 40% of the time I try to transition between indoor/outdoor or vice versa.

Just had my 4th black-screen in Windhelm trying to go talk to the Jarl for a reward...

Anyone have any ideas?

I have:

Geforce 1660 Ti
i7-8700K 3.7
32GB DDR4 ram
Windows 10

Update Driver?
Verify Game Files?
Mods?

The game gets more taxing as you progress and the game engine is working harder to load scripts and instances.

Turning off auto-save within the in-game menu should help with load door issues, just be sure to remember to make saves often as you go. When I was using a 1660 I could start the game on ultra setting but getting into the 40s and 50s I would have to lower the graphic settings some. 4gigs or vram does not go far on a modded skyrim.

If it used to work, the more I think about it the more I think you should open steam and re-verify the game files. A corrupt resource file could cause black screen when loading.

You can also try to set the quality down to low and lower the resolution to see if the problem goes away.

Should probably update this.

I fixed it.

As much as it pains me to say, the solution was to turn my PC off and on again...
