Skyrim modding is actual biblical hell and it's making me sad.

it turns out modding Skyrim is Hell these days and i give up! :D!!!!!

I started by attempting to install a mod that gives the Khajiit human-style hair, which sounds like the easiest thing I can imagine to mod. How could this go wrong?

Turns out that that half of the mods worth using have dependencies upon dependencies upon dependencies (no joke 3+ layers down in some instances) EVERYTHING requires Skyrim Script Extender, which should honestly just be baked into the damn game.

Anyways, it mentions using a "body shape mod of user's choice" and I decided "Yeah I'll get the one that makes the chest jiggle, ♥♥♥♥ it" because it was an option, I like girls, it would be improved if their bodies weren't as stiff as paper mache, sue me.

(KS Hairdos - HDT SMP (Physics) - KHAJIIT - ARONIANS - ALL RACES - PATCH, on Nexus, I assume they meant Argonians)

The body shape mod I chose is called BHUNP, (they listed a few) cool

This mentions when downloading it that requires something called "Maximum Skeleton extended" which increases the number of "bones" the character models can have, OK, Fair enough.

now, we're at the coupe de grace
It requires ANOTHER mod (SURE, FINE, GET ON WITH IT), called Fores New Idles in Skyrim, requires you to monkey around with external tools (YAY)

which refuses to launch if you happen to have ever used ModDrop a
for no other reason than "this program was engineered by an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥"

My verdict is "I want to play Skyrim again but I think I need someone with a college certification in Skyrim modding to get this ♥♥♥♥ going" it's like some kind of dystopian job, "skyrim modder" Cyberpunk here we come

I've given up and scrubbed the entire thing, Skyrim is cancelled.

Also I tried playing a pre-made modpack and it...

Lacked a bunch of mods I wanted
Had a bunch of "HARDCORE >:))))" mods that just made it awful to play, to install it I had to wait 8 hours and automate clicking on Nexus Mods download links with external software because they wanted money to automate it even though I had no way of knowing if it was enjoyable at all. (1800~ mods by the way, the pack was called Arkys Commandment)
I just want to have fun running around the countryside stabbing things as a cat lady in a pretty costume why is this so hard.

All that garbage I went through was for ONE MOD, I could see the direction it was going if I decided to keep going and try downloading other mods.

You know what else sucks?
Skyrim SE doesn't have the god forsaken steam workshop for some reason :D! So it's the creation club, external mods from nexus (which kind of sucks especially if you don't want to give them money) or nothing.

where a good place to find a collection of mods. I used to have my own list but after the last two updates most for my mods were botched. I also upgraded my PC and performed a full restore so I lost all my data. Would like a quick an beautiful collection mod that adds elden ring combat with cbbe 3ba body and armors.

If you want even slightly saucy mods it seems like it's all or nothing, and the mods that give things physics seem to have the very worst of the interdependency hydra. It's not a matter of "Just" download a modpack.

I tried using wabbajack and that ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucked, took all day and in the end I didn't even LIKE the pack so it felt like a tremendous waste of time.

You want to install over 1800 mods in one go and not expect there to be issues or time involved with doing that. Welcome to reality.

You should mention you need premium for the easy installations for collectiions.

There are collections with sex/nudity/skimpy. The I&E collection has like 500+ mods with jiggle physics, sex (optional), and more. But again, have nexus premium 'cuz you click add to vortex and watch it do everything.

Currently though, you NEED to downgrade your game to previous patch to use I&E but the discord gives you easy step by step on how. Takes like 10 minutes total to get all 500+ mods working and downgrade with premium.

I got that collection as a base, disabled the things I don't like and added what I wanted. Easy pz.

i don't know why you act like you need to dedicated your life to understand modding when all you need to do just follow the instruction and download the list that provided

nowadays modding is so easy that your retarded cousin can do it just fine, you don't need to worry about backing up file or replacing here and there. its straight forward process

I highly recommend you utilize Mod List installers like Nolvus or Wabbajack.

It's painless, you get cool stuff and it reinvigorates the game.

If you have the pc to run it that is .... also lets be clear you need a nexus premium account, registration on the Nolvus site, download a nexus api key ... so yea not that perfect and graphically it's not to everyone's taste ...
