Question b4 buying
I saw a clip of the huge modlist called eldergleam, which is an insane modlist that overhaul great the graphics and now I want to buy the game to play it, now, The big question is, Which version, Anniversary or SE? I saw that Anniversary may mess with a lot of mods but how is that? And also, I saw that Wabjack may need it.

Ignore all references to "Anniversary Edition" and "Special Edition". Bethesda used very ambiguous wording when marketing the 2021 update and the community uses "Anniversary Edition" to refer to multiple things. At this point, the confusion over terminology is probably unsolvable.

Unless a mod author or modpack curator specifically requires the all-in-one Creation Club package, (what the Steam Store specifically calls the "Anniversary UPGRADE") simply assume that your game is ok as long as your Skyrim executable version is fully up to date.

anniversary and SE have the same game version, the difference is anniversary also include plenty of mod from creation club and may conflict depending what kind of mod you installing and yes you can uninstall it

I would like to add that, before you jump into modding the game, a new player should play a few hours with an unmodded game. This will provide a better understanding of what you would like to change with mods. You will get to see the 'charm' of the original game.

The videos you are seeing are showcasing the more popular full game conversion systems like Nolvus or Wabajack. While they have done a good job of putting these together, the more mods there are the higher chance at coming across issues. These also have specific game requirements, such as purchasing and installing the Anniversary Edition DLC.

Just be sure you have read up on the intricacies of modding Skyrim before you dive right in. Remember, the one with the most mods doesn't win. Quality is better than quantity.

Best advice to help with future problems, and there will be future problems, is to make hard saves early and often. Do not rely on autosaves. Second best advice is when you get your modded game up and running then do not update anything, game or mods.
Have fun.

Oh trust me, I played the vanilla on PS3 back in 2015 for almost 20 hours, I just haven't decided to invest time on this game cause that was on a friends house I stayed with, After playing fallout 4 for almost 200 hours I want to get into Skyrim and see how to the modding scene can be, even tho it has 4.4bn downloads on nexus.

They're the same version and mods work the same for either special or anniversary. Anniversary just adds 70 paid mods to the game. The only conflict would be if a mod specifically altered something from the anniversary edition, in which case it's pretty self explanatory, if a mod modifies another mod, it stands to reason you need the mod it's modifying.

Id like to say that you really dont need hundreds of mods to play this game.Unless you are obsessed about having the game look like it came out in 2024 or turning the game into a sex simulator all you need is a dozen or so main mods with some usual bug fixes
