Asking for your opinion, mine is def J'zargo, he has some powerful spells and can level up with Dragonborn indefinitely, also the Solstheim Dragon Priests Masks make him quite a berserker.

Character-wise it's Inigo tho

If one counts mods, overall, it is Xelzaz especially if he is tripled up with either Remiel and Redcap or Lucifer and Khash.

I just create my own using PROTEUS, and go from there. Sure, I use some of the in-game companions as well, but my created companion is my go-to.

Doesn't Lydia have a slightly higher level cap than other housecarls? every other housecarl's being like 30 and her's capping at 40?
Calling J'zargo an F tier follower is downright cringe when you take a look at other options, same with Serana, that's an overexaggeration low-key.
though I do agree Ralis is goated, but still a melee focused companion meaning he will be weak in mid to long range, a better choice would be Teldryn Sero who has more flexibility with his attacks. It's like running a Two-Handed heavy armour, sure you're great when you're in the face of an enemy but all the enemy has to do is keep it's distance.

Put it like this, Put Teldryn and Ralis against eachother at similar level, before Ralis even gets the chance to approach Teldryn would have already halved Ralis' health, and before Ralis gets to deal any significant damage with his dual damage he's already in a state of being felled. Same comparing J'zargo and Freya on those levels, what's the point of being a Berserk upclose and personal if you're going to be dying once you close the distance? My point stands.

What difficulty are you playing on, cause i've seen a lvl 15 Ralis with none upgraded equipment destroy deathlords in seconds on Legendary difficulty.

Also, all housecarls cap at lvl 50, no idea where you got information from. For J'zargo being F tier, he's using novice spells, his damage is almost none existent. Calling basic facts from the wiki "cringe" makes you look like a turd.
