Heyo , Im about to install skyrim again ( for 24 hours of modding and 1 hour playing)
Whoever uses nolvus, is it playable / stable?
Im looking for a decent modpack , I don't want to look up all of them myself (again) since I never reached a point where after I installed like 500 mods by myself , it would not crash in 5 min of gameplay ...
Thanks in advance.

Haven't played perse, but I installed it and was testing it with no issues. Plus, installation is a breeze once you read the instructions. Only two manual installs.

1. It's a gigantic modpack, almost a total overhaul, so troubleshooting it manually is out of the question. You'll have to ask on their discord if something doesn't work out of the box.
2. It's stable enough, but the hardware requirements are leagues above vanilla, make sure that you meet them.
3. As already said, it's almost a total overhaul, so it's very far away from the vanilla experience. Also, it's modded to the creator's liking, which may or may not adhere to your vision of what (or how) needs to be modded.
4. Adding more mods on top of it is very risky, unless the creators explicitly stated that it is okay to do that.

I've played it for 170 hours so far, its way more stable than any Bethesda jank version. It runs really well and I have not come across any bugs.

I do have a beastly PC so I would make sure your PC can run it first.

There are two versions, one that is not so demanding and the insane version.

The step by step guide on the website is easy and clear, you really cannot go wrong if you follow the instructions to the letter.

You will need around 300GB free and you need to run it on an SSD.

I suggest checking out the mods on Nexus that are used, it may take time but you will get a good understanding of what they do, plus many need to be set up in the MCM so understand what they do is important.

Another bonus is that unlike other mods lists this will not be affected by Bethesda's stupid updates as it does not touch the Steam game folder.

If you do decide to go with Nolvus I would wait until V6 is out which is this year, personally I don't care as V5 is good enough for me but its going to add many more mods it, one example is that you will be able to walk into the major cities without any loading screens!

While you can update from V5 to V6 your save from V5 apparently will not work on V6.

Its a great mod pack but mod packs are subjective so have a good look into it.

Good , I installed it and works flawlessly. Anyone knows how can I get DLSS working with ENB tho?

I see you know this mod well then . Do you have any suggestion for dlss to get it working ?
Nolvus installed one with the DLAA but its not working with enb.

I think you can't due to certain functionality in the enb is not compatible.

That's interesting as I think that's Open Skyrim and there are several mods in v5 which seem to have conflicts with Open Skyrim.

Okey , I got the one ( it was pay to use once , but managed to get it for free) dlss working with enb. Got a solid + 20fps with ultra quality dlss.

Depending on your graphics card, for LODs you may want to go for "ultra performance LOD textures", everything else can remain on highest setting. I have a RTX 3060 12GBvram card and noticed it maxed out my vram with the best setting and caused crashes, especially when nearing cities. With "ultra performance LOD" I have my vram usage hovering at around 10gb, which resulted in much better fps and no crashes in my 30hrs of playing so far.

Thanks for the answer. I have a 4070ti , everything is maxed and I had like 25-40fps outdoors , indoors 80+ . ( 3440x1440)
Now I installed a working dlss with enb and I never go lower than 40fps outdoors.
I highly recommend the dlss since if you set it to quality , it gives + 20fps everywhere and the picture quality is still decent.
