I much prefer high fps physics fix, for the load times improvement, you can cut your initial loading, save loading, and cell transitions by down to 1/100th because you'll be running thousands of fps and all the cycles that entails, but you do you. both do similar things for the frames, though (and you manually have to tweak the physicsdamagepatch value if you still get hurt when you slam into havok objects)

it seems it's an AMD/NV thing, in that people prefer one over the other, and you can't convince them otherwise, but if you're not biased, try both, since you have to choose. (there are skse load fixes separate too, which is why display tweaks guy suggests SSE fixes/ SSE engine fixes too)

I also have SSE Engine Fix installed, however just found this discussion and now wondering if using display tweak is a bad idea?

Looks like this mod could fix the physics engine {HAVOK) issue

I'm new to modding, so if anyone has used these mods any advice would be welcome
Will this mod break my game?

FPS should be capped at 60. Despite what people say, it is not just a matter of physics (Havok engine) - EVERYTHING in the game is tied to FPS, and exceeding 60 FPS will result in issues (AI schedules getting out of whack, merchant hours getting borked, quest triggers not firing as they should, hit boxes getting out of sync with their moving trap counterparts - the list goes on and on). And, there's a reason that the discussion post on capping FPS at 60 is included in the PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References - and that's because exceeding 60 FPS does cause issues.

So, save yourself a lot of aggravation and cap the game.

Of course, it is your game your way, but if you run the game over 60 FPS, you are on your own when it comes to troubleshooting any issues, due to the issues that arise and are tied directly into the FPS cap.

Don't believe the marketing. Nothing can compensate for high fps, lock it to 60. I use SSE Display Tweaks and SSE Engine Fixes with zero issues. Very smooth gameplay with no crashing or other problems. I lock the framerate in the SSE Display Tweaks configuration file.

While the mod works great does one have to be careful with other mods. The mod fixes the issues related to a high frame rate with the vanilla game, but it cannot fix other mods that assume the frame rate to be capped at 60fps. Not every mod author can test their mod at a high frame rate and some mod authors simply do not care and even take shortcuts by assuming the limit was 60fps.

SSE Display Tweaks is for Skyrim Special Edition. High FPS Physics Fix is for Fallout 4. While each comes from a different author are both quite similar and share code (see GitHub). These are more or less the same mod for a different Bethesda game.

I have disabled it, until I can get a better understanding on how it will affect my game
