hdtSMP64.dll keeps me from playing
After being away a year, I had to update everything...but one last error keeps me from launching, unless I say 'no' and go around the warning "hdtSMP64.dll: disabled, incompatible with current game".

The error shows in the SKSE Plugin Loader [2.2.6] when I try to launch the game normally. BTW the game will crash if I try to use ESC

Anyone know what the fix is?

There been at least 3 or 4 updates since you last played , so at a guess , your game as well
F4SE and all the mods that rely on it ( assuming you have them ) will all have to be updated .

Why are several people referencing Fallout 4 mods? Please reference the correct game.

OP,
It appears that your game updated to the current version (1.6.1170). Additionally, you have updated SKSE to the latest version (Current Anniversary Edition build 2.2.6).

What you may not have done is update Address Library as well as all of your SKSE dependent mods, such as Faster HDT-SMP as the error is indicating.

Take a look at the following guide for information.

it's also a slight misnomer, you don't want HDT-SMP per se anymore, you want Faster HDT-SMP[www.nexusmods.com] and make sure you match your capabilities, if you don't know what AVX your Intel CPU supports, grab Intel Processor Identification Utility[www.intel.com] (if you're on AMD/AMD not Intel/NV, use the correct SE version of noCUDA_noAVX for fastest most stable physics.)

I think I found the hdtSMP64.dll error fix, installing 'SMP-NPC crash fix' seems to have done the trick.

Saved games still have an issue seeing my mods so I started a new game to see if things worked, and it does but without the Vortex mods, only the vanilla game.

I had issues with my vanilla game crashing if I touched ESC, but that was fixed by disabling 'SkyUI SE - Flashing Savegames Fix'.

Now I'm working on my saved game not loading because it doesn't 'see' my Vortex files for some reason anymore, something to do with Creation Club it looks like but I'm a noob at mods so I could be wrong on that...if anyone knows a solution to my current issue it would be appreciated.

Here's my current issue; when I try to launch a saved game it shows a bunch of missing mods, I can see all the mods in question in the Creation Club load order but they aren't enabled and they won't stay enabled, if I re-set them and say OK to loading the missing mods it tries for a few seconds and then crashes to desktop.

I tried moving the Vortex folder into the Data folder and Creation folder so the game would see them but that wasn't allowed...not sure where to go from here, any help would be appreciated.

Mods not enabling is related to SSE Engine Fixes and requiring edits to EngineFixes.toml. See the guide I linked. It explains the changes.
