Still. $7 is the cheapest SE has ever been. I'm just not too keen on buying a game I already own.
In my opinion SE is worth it for the 64 bit engine upgrade.
also you need to buy the extra DLC's because many lists "request it"
the lists are hard to adjust can be done but your save time by making your own list.
Although, I agree that someone interested in a collection or installer needs to review the descriptions and forum posts to confirm whether the requirements are met and if it is even worthwhile.
And it is far better, at least in my experience, to curate your own mod list. Many 'pre-assembled' lists are, as others have pointed out, bloated and seemingly just thrown together.

if you found it for 7 bucks it really is worth it for modding.
Yeah. Threads probably going to get locked unfortunately, but thanks for the info. I did end up buying Skyrim SE and it was partially due to that option.
It seems some loadouts say they require the Anniversary edition so maybe you had the wrong version of skyrim idk.
i wouldnt trust wabbajack when it comes to mods and my personal security. Nexus is a far better choice and if you use Vortex it makes things even easier to use. plus has been around alot longer.
I've used Wabbajack and I've use Vortex collections.
As a general observation, for me, Wabbajack tends to be more reliable and quicker than a comparably sized Vortex Collection.
Wabbajack modlists almost ALWAYS created a "portable" version of the game that doesn't mess with your original install. So, you can run multiple wabbajack lists without having to do the excruciatingly painful "switch profile" that Vortex does.
Most of them work without a hitch, too. Or if they do have a hitch, rerunning wabbajack and telling it to start over (it will generally preserve existing progress) will get you where you need to be,
Lists I've tried with no problems:
Tempus Maledictum
LoreRim
Alypne
Wioldlander
Phoenix Flavor
If you plan on trying more than one modlist - keep a separate folder outside of the modlist install folder to keep you mods in. Many of them will overlap. Why download SkyUI twice?
Also - make sure you're using an SSD. Or it will take freaking forever.
Most of the modlists will run on an external SSD if it's fast enough, but installs will take a while because even fast USB has a bandwidth limit which is used by both reading and writing.
