Skyrim SE: Is there a console command to automatically legendary reset skills?
I am messing around with some cheat leveling out of curiosity and am wondering if there is a console command that will legendary reset a skill without the need for the inputs of opening the skill menu, space/Y over the max level 100 skill, two yes/no prompts.

It is really tedious, so I am wondering if anyone knows of a command/workaround for this.

No. It's not particularly tedious anyway.

you can type "player.setskill alchemy 1" to set your alchemy skill to 1. of course you can do that with any other skill, just replace alchemy with whatever skill you want to set to whatever number you want. I haven't tried numbers above 100 but that might also be possible

it won't make it legendary and also won't refund perks, so be careful about that

It's not tedious if you do it legit, but I am trying to see how high of a level I can get with console commands "to mimic somebody legitimately doing it" i.e. not using console commands to "set" skills to a certain level and rather use "advskill" so that the game treats the levels as "legit" as to avoid potential character corruption.

Then you have no other choice but to spam incPCS or AdvSkill commands and use the legendary reset.

Although I doubt that many people have the patience to surpass level 100, so you may as well stop there.

Then just figure out how much experience is needed to advance a skill from 1 to 100 and use the 'advskill' command.

You can use a bat file if you want to advance more than one skill. For example, I use the following when testing characters at higher levels. I create a text file and add the commands below. The file is put in the Skyrim game folder. While in game, open the console and type the following and press enter: bat [file name]

AdvSkill Enchanting 330
AdvSkill Smithing 100000
AdvSkill Block 75000
AdvSkill OneHanded 85000
AdvSkill Marksman 60000
AdvSkill Sneak 15000
AdvSkill LightArmor 135000
AdvSkill Pickpocket 20000
AdvSkill LockPicking 85000
AdvSkill Speechcraft 1500000
AdvSkill Alchemy 600000

you mean the little dragon symbol below and the number of times you're reset it, right? (you understand this doesn't really do anything, it's just a display thing, yes?)

look at the source papyrus in data\scripts\source, for SetSkillLegendaryLevel in Game.psc and ActorValueInfo.psc... I'm sure it's basic, call the function with the skill name/avid and the # you want to set it to....

The maximum level is primarily determined by the game setting "fXPLevelUpMult" (default value is 25.000000). By decreasing this value you will increase the maximum level. A value of 2.189200 would increase the maximum value to 252.

I have tried decreasing the game setting further, also out of curiosity, and reached a level of about 1450. But, any level above 252, I think, is a waist of time, as a level of 252, 500 or 1450 makes no significant difference. There is also the possibility to increase the skill level cap and the multipliers for faster leveling each skill.

You can use the following command to set new values:
setgs fXPLevelUpMult 2.189200
I can't remember if the gamesetting name needs to be entered with double quotes. Also, by using the console you would need to use this command on every game start, as it will not be registered in the save files. Best way is to create a small mod changing the game setting to prevent using the console command every game start.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I was looking for, I know it doesn't do anything, but I wanted to find something that could either legendary a skill for me (through commands) or do what you are describing as to avoid corrupting a character save.
