Game stops lagging after 30-45 minutes of gameplay
Why my game only lags first 30-45 minutes? Is anyone else also experienced this? What was your solution?

Any mods? If so does it also lag in vanilla? any other programs open when playing?

could be everything
- Having a lot script based mods leading to taking time to setup in parallel with running the game during your first 30 minutes of gameplay
- Tainted game save (removed mods mid-playthrough?)
- AV (Anti Virus) scanning the files when running the executable (to start the game), lag stopped because the scan has finished
- slow disk load, it stopped with lagging because many meshes/textures are now present in a buffer memory (cache/RAM)
- ...

I have +900 mods installed atm and no enb. I don't think it lags in vanilla and no other programs are open. It just magically stops after 30-45 minutes and I don't know why

-I have bunch of AI overhaul mods for enemies, creatures, dragons, npcs.
-I didn't remove any mods mid playthrough
-I don't have any antivirus program installed
-I lowered my textures and everything just to try this(I even also used upscaler) it made almost zero difference

then we need to look at your script mods.

But ... AI overhaul is not that weighty mod. It does cause more "traffic" but it only defines additional schedules for various NPCs so that they actually have a life. The NPCs are sandboxing constantly, and what they are doing is dependent on a schedule assigned to that person.

However, there are some NPC overhaul mods that has a bit more scripting work and may hinder the sandboxing behavior. Immerisive Citizens comes in mind.

AI Overhaul, Morthal Enemies, Blade and Blunt, Deadly Dragons. I also have mods like Lawless which gives bandits more variety and make them stronger. I don't think they affect their AI tho but I don't know. Also I have Sunhelm, bunch of overhaul mods for perks, skills, etc.

1. Do you have anything which affects LOD?

2. Do you have mods which affect levelled lists through scripts? Merchant inventories, enemy spawns, loot?

3. Also, if you have Windows, then it already has a built-in virus scanner. Try making Skyrim an exception.

P.S. Post your load order and the LOOT sorting summary somewhere, then link them here.

I am also curious if you have installed your game on C:\Program Files as a lot people (because it's a standard path for installing software) is doing? When modding games, it's best to have the game not being in that folder.

1.I don't use Dyndolod or other LOD mods.
2.I use OWL and I have a lot of armor and weapon mods. But the problem is even there are no NPC's it lags and stutters until I play for 30-45 minutes. I also have equipment display mod
3. I tried it and it made no difference sadly.

I also don't use LOOT I manage my load order manually and it rarely crashes.

My game folder is not in Program Files and I also use Mod Organizer 2.

Check how all the mods which distribute stuff are configured. Try making a backup save and resetting all configurations. Such mods may modify levelled lists globally, and not just in loading range.

I think it does modify levelled lists globally because I also use Synthesis Patcher and Wyre Bash for OWL to distribute all the modded weapons and armor.

Then check how often that runs and maybe try resetting it.

Have you tried looking at the task manager during that lag? What is hogging the resources?

Post a list of your skse plugins.

I first started playing SE on an older system that had trouble handling it...yet I threw on just a bit too many mods. I had a minor version of this issue...I just started the practice of hard saving in as small a cell as possible whenever I decided to stop a play session. When starting the save back up...I would open the save...and walk away for a couple minutes. When I came back...no lag.

I am curious to see what it turns out to be, 30-45 mins is insane; a global script loop wouldn't change it'd stay the same load, so it's some kind of item modification or levellist updating that's for some reason not stored in the save, has to re-do it each session? Seems bonkers.
