Not seeing the option there. Must not be high enough smithing, I’m guessing. All I’m seeing it fur plates, leather, and strips. Thanks for the response.

Think ya need Elven Smithing, Kinda like how Stalhrim need Ebony Smithing (and to rescue that one guy from the high elfs)

Seems it’s not under Elven or Dwarven :/

maybe it needs a special crafting station you only find on Solstheim?

...
New Crafting Components:
Boiled Chitin Plate: made from (2 Mudcrab Chitin & 2 Chaurus Eggs) or (Chaurus Chitin & Scaly Pholiota) at the Tanning Rack - If Boiled Chitin Armor Crafting is activated.
After you've created enough boiled chitin plates, and have unlocked elven smithing (or dwemer for heavy armor), then you can craft this armor, provided that it's enabled in the MCM.

I see the armor in the forge, but I’m not seeing the plates in the tanning rack. I have Elven and Dwarven smithing unlocked.

Is the chitin armor crafting enabled in the mod configuration menu?

Yes, I’m seeing the option to craft it in the forge.

It may be that another mod is overwriting the records - if you do not have a Bashed Patch made with WryeBash, you should (though even that is no guarantee that the records would be properly forwarded).

This issue is the type of thing that can happen when modding - and the larger the build the more likely it is to occur, which is one reason why it is a good idea to at least familiarize yourself with at least the basics of xEdit if you are intent on serious modding of the game. See the following guide for some basics on using xEdit:

Guide is from the PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References, Section 4 - Modding the Game.

Good luck!
