Save file issue.

Hey guys, me again. Has anyone else experienced an issue where the game will say their save file is corrupted (show the corrupt file image instead a screencap), but when you exit the game and start it back up its fine? I've been dealing with this issue for a good while now. Its normally not something that bothers me, but now its getting annoying having to shut the game down just to load a save file up. Are there any mods that would cause this? (And before anyone asks, I don't have a list of mods I have installed at the ready.)

Hi, I have the exact same problem as you but I don't know the cause. I started a discussion on the forum on 02/14 but didn't get an asnwer yet. I use v.1.6.1130 by the way and have 342 active mods on Vortex.

It's the false save corruption bug. It's a known issue. Engine Fixes mod will get rid of it. Just make sure you get the correct version for your game as it's an SKSE derived mod.

Yea had that too in the past since engine fixes I've not seen it again.

When using SSE Engine Fixes be sure to change the following lines in the EngineFixes.toml file:

EnableAchiementsWithMods = false
SaveAddedSoundCategories = false
SaveScreenShots = false

The second line doesn't seem to be necessary, but ... just in case.

Wow, this is exactly what I needed to fix this. Big thanks guys, now I can get back to enjoying Skyrim without any save issues.
