SkyUI issue still persisting
Did everything as I've been told to on its official modpage, even on the wiki. Downloaded this that and the other, ran several different characters to test before just thinking "forget it" and continuing on like normal, cause I can ultimately deal with it.

But it's still annoying that I can't see items in my inventory, despite being able to otherwise interact with them just fine. I can read books and notes, equip and discard gear, all the normal things that work, due, but this one visual thing is bothering me. What could it be?

What version of Skyrim are you using? The latest, or an older version?

For reference, the latest Skyrim update to date sort of broke SkyUI, though I haven't heard of this problem before. Usually the bug with it is not being able to change difficulty from Novice or switching off survival mode.

Latest, as most, if not all, of my mods, are compatible with 1.7.1170 (I think that's the latest AE version). Sky UI at least still works, but as I said, still persists.

Edit: Double-checked and latest version is 1.6.1170, my bad

If you have both SkyHUD and MCM Helper -
Try disabling MCM Helper and test the game. Before you do, make a save so if the issue is corrected, you can update MCM Helper to v. 1.5.0 and reload the save.

Did that before, yes.

Well, I'm running out of options from the research. Have you used the mod 'BethINI Pie' to setup and customize your INI settings rather than having the game do it for you?

https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/631

This helps for a lot of reasons. I'm not sure if you are using a custom resolution setting greater than 1920x1080.

If the same issue is occurring after all of the troubleshooting steps you have made, even with a new character, you are down to removing mods one by one and testing until you find the culprit, or performing a clean reinstall.

I don't play higher than 1080p even if I could, for my own reasons.

I WILL give that a try later on, though, so I'll let you know how that goes.

I didn't say this in the OP of this thread, so I'll reiterate, cause it might be a positioning thing that I have no idea is being messed with: The books, journals, notes, when I read them from my inventory, seem to be behind the camera's perspective, and float out through the "lens" of the camera instead of being in the item preview part of SkyUI. If it's as small as a positioning fix, then how can I do that?

The item preview area of the inventory menu displays the item model from a file known as the 'ground model.' This is a custom mesh that is usually packed into the games BSA libraries. These meshes allow for proper collisions when the item is dropped on the ground.

Mod developer's will sometimes use a tool known as Nifskope to create these ground models from the meshes and textures they created.

Just to summarize some of the troubleshooting steps that you may have taken so far in case others find this post for help -

1. Complete Widescreen Fix for Vanilla and SkyUI:
Install the Complete Widescreen Fix mod from the Skyrim Special Edition Nexus. This mod addresses issues related to ultrawide displays and should help with UI scaling.
Additionally, make sure you’re using the latest version of SKYUI (currently version 5.2 for SE).

2. Adjust Display Settings:
Open your skyrimprefs.ini file (located in your Skyrim SE installation folder).
Look for the [Display] section and adjust the following settings:
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1080
iSize W=2560
Replace the resolution values with your desired screen resolution.

3. SkyUI MCM (Mod Configuration Menu):
In-game, open the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) for SkyUI.
Navigate to the Advanced section and find the 3D Item settings.
Adjust the item scale if needed to fit your screen better.

4. Remove Unnecessary INI Settings:
If you’ve made manual changes to your skyrim.ini or skyrimprefs.ini, revert them to their default state. You can do this by deleting the files and then use the Steam launcher and the game will detect hardware generating the INI files.

Tried all, to no avail.

Even the Ultrawide fix which is really unnecessary, cause as I said, I don't play above 1080p.
