My brightness is set to max. I'm using around 400+ mods however in terms of graphical mods like lighting and enb I'm using:

Cabbage ENB for NAT 3 Weather
Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Shadows (EVLaS)
Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Shadows Underside (EVLaS)
Lux
Lux - Via - Resource Pack
Lux Orbis
NAT.ENB III - Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel ENB 3.1.1C
Particle Patch for ENB

ENB Helper is not working for me - if I change settings and click apply it reverts back to default - I also reinstalled ENB Helper to no avail.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

The old one is supposed to work on the newest version of Skyrim, but there might be some yet unknown problems.
Just tried it and yeah little difference. I will note that the shadow/darkness issue seems to be amplified based on the direction of the sun. So it might be a problem to do with the sun?

That's still an ENB issue.

Are you sure that it's the Cabbage ENB which is active, and not the NAT one?

Cabbage is active aswell as NAT's weather plugin.

I mean which preset is now being used. You need the Cabbage ENB

Clear ENBs cache as well.

I'm off to sleep, see ya later. If it's not too dark, that is.

I can't find enbcache? I don't think I even have that folder. Not sure why. I searched online and it said:

"The ENBCache folder is no longer present in recent versions of ENB. This feature was removed a few versions ago. If you’re unable to find the ENBCache folder, don’t worry—it’s not an issue specific to your setup."

yes editing manually you'll likely either have to force a hotload from the console or just exit and restart, that's why we want you to get Helper happy...

Lighting Mod = Blindness Simulator.

I followed this guide on Youtube https://youtu.be/Pj7enUTiLjg - I changed some pref.ini settings and installed Rudy ENB instead and the problem has vastly improved. Gonna try Cabbage ENB again to see if it was just Cabbage ENB or if it was the pref.ini will keep you updated.

With Rudy: https://steamcommunity.com/id/7656119875392656/screenshot/2450592072310037453/

With Cabbage:

https://steamcommunity.com/id/7656119875392656/screenshot/2450592072310052224/

Update: Honestly can't see a difference between the two. Which is leading me to believe the issue was probably to do with the pref.ini files maybe?

With all due respect, something still isn't installed correctly. Rudy Enb doesn't look like that. That looks like you're not running Enb at all.

Then I have no idea. What do you think it could be?

Take a look at either Cabbage or Rudy's Nexus pages. Neither of them look anything like that.

If I was you, I'd uninstall everything having to do with your enb project and start over. Troubleshooting it isn't working. Take some time, a few hours, then start again with fresh eyes.

This might make you feel better. In my first attempt at enb in Oldrim, I ended up with this:

Give it another shot. Start at the beginning.
