Can't get rid of Joy of Perspective
So I downloaded JOP years ago but disabled it after I found Archery Game Overhaul. I just left it disabled this whole time and never had a problem with it conflicting with AGO. I was fiddling with my mods and downloaded a couple NPC replacers along with a couple other mods and exceeded my plug-in limit. So I deleted a few as well as cleaned out some disabled mods one of which was JOP. I started a new game and found that the AGO animations were messed up. I tried removing old JOP files that still didn't work. I noticed JOP went active (through the special edition update) when I delete the mod but is there a way to disable it?

Which mod manager do you use?
disabled or uninstalled? When I used vortex I noticed it would sometimes leave files in the data folder that I had long since removed. You could try purging and redeploying.

You mean Vortex? Then you must purge the mod, not simply disable it. Or, in your case, redeploy JOP first, then purge it.

Otherwise, leftover files will get in the way.

will purging remove mods that aren't from Nexus?

If it was installed with Vortex, then yes.
After you get rid of JoP by deleting the mod;

(if that didn't work re-download it then delete it again OR look at what files JoP comes with and manual delete them + fix any problems with meshes that could come up, the files in the folder will give you a super good example of what you'll be looking out for)

Switch to Improved Camera. It's not a janky mess and is compatible with basically everything, even has a nice .ini file and in-game menu to mess with if you want. There's versions for 1.5.whatever or the newest version, just pay attention to the mod description and work with that/google to find older versions if needed.

This is still the best tried and true method of making sure mod files are cleaned out from all game related locations. Follow the guide EXACTLY and do everything it says to the letter:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2743619856

And DO NOT clean or edit the Master files or any Creation Club content.

The above link is from the following section of the PINNED TOPIC Helpful Links and References:

Good luck!
