Skyrim Factions Ideas
Berserker Tribe: A kind of faction of guys that fight with their fists. They make use of alchemy, enchanting, werewolf/vampire transformations. They're dedicated to the way of the fist. Have a kind of mix of berserker animal pelt look. They love the purity of combat fighting with fists naked. Challenge people in fights on the road or beat a dragon with your fists and take it down. You want to full manly experience you join them. Among their ranks however some believe they should create their own manmade Dragonborns. Those with this twisted dream has been magicka experimenting hidden from others trying to combine people and monsters to create not just a Dragonborn but Giantborns, Minotaurborns etc.

Merchant Mercenary (East Empire Company?): Faction of those that like to do travel, do business, trade, crafting and mercenary work. Uniform appears like that of Middle Eastern in origin. Money is the biggest motivator of the faction. If you're looking for a good weapon or to make a pile of coin this is the place to look. They operate under a Trade Prince.

Merry Men: The Merry Men are a lot like the thieves guild as in they use thievery, lockpicking and pickpocketing but they only do it to those that deserve it whether they're rich or poor. They steal from bandits and greedy noblemen and give it to the poor, needy and destitute. So they're a good alignment thief guild. They tend to wear lincoln green to blend in the forest, they're warm and inviting folk that love to sing and dance when they're off duty.

Dragonslayers: A faction made to thwart out dragons. They have ancient origins but have been usually under wraps. Now that the dragons are back, they are operational again. They're mixed on whether siding with the Dragonborn or not and they're divided into two sides of different loyalties. The Dragonslayers have usually been a very loose organization of mercenaries and bounty hunters and show allegiance to not a specific person. They have a quartermaster that gives them missions though. High ranking members are known for their dragonscale armor made from dragons. Lower ranking members wear armor that imitates the look of dragon armor. They tend to use long swords, spears and bows, anything with a reach to hit a dragon.

Bethelians: Complete boy scout guild, Bethelians are travelers that travel and do good around the world. They help other travelers. They're strictly vegans unlike the Bosmer, the only thing they require a Bosmer to join is to switch to a vegan diet as well as anyone else. Bethelians are inherently good. They avoid conflict or try and reduce it using diplomacy. They are also against racism, sexism and reducing suffering in the world. Donating to the poor, helping an old woman in need, protecting children from the harshness of the world is all part of their holy mission. The scouts are heavily spiritual and acknowledge the good gods and denounce the evil ones. Bethelians are also ascetics, starving on purpose to starve with the other less fortunate.

Is that a poor attempt at writing fan fiction, or a strange request for a mod?

Or did you confuse the forum for a notepad?
Bonus! Mar 2, 2024 @ 3:58am
I'm very confused as to what you're trying to do cuz other than the Bethelians the concepts of the other factions already exist just basically with a different name

and a vegan diet doesn't make any sense for the middle ages fantasy or not

im just confused

I think the OP is pitching his ideas at bethesda hoping they will make a CC mod for them.
Clearly unaware that Bethesda doesn't read these forums, or listen to it's fanbase.

Yeah, that's never gonna happen. Besides, those ideas are crap. The first four already exist in-game, and the last one does too, at least in the form of a forum white-knight.

Well I don't know how it could be bad or good since they're subjective. If you can enlighten me why they're bad go ahead and explain it.

Because the first four factions already exist in-game. There are even mods which improve them. Which means that we don't need a cheap knock-off.

The last one is completely out of place, considering the lore and setting.

I mean I know what you might be implying but I never felt they were represented that way. Are you referring to Companions, East Empire (which doesn't seem joinable from my knowledge), Nightingale and Blades? I never felt they were like that.

They are close enough. If you think otherwise, then mod them to your liking, or create your own faction.

1. That's the Forsworn, and we already have a pugilist CC. Trying to fight naked and without weapons sounds suicidal.
2. We already have a mercenary guild, the Companions. Then, there's the excellent Wyrmstooth mod for the EEC.
3. Why not just stick with the Thieves guild?
4. That's the Blades.
5. This is so woke, I'm gonna throw up.

At this time I would say don't give them ideas especially with the last one .... you might get your wish and regret it.

I can join the Forsword? The Merchant Mercenary is more focused on business and trade. Mercenary work is just part of it. Thieves guild is not good aligned. Blades is more focused as agents of the Imperials, my idea of dragonslayers are random unorganized guys wearing dragonscale armor that kill dragons.
Alex Mar 2, 2024 @ 5:58am
1. There are mods to join the forsworn. The other parts, like fighting naked and unarmed is just nonsense. Or simply become a werewolf.
2. Merchants are focused on "business and trade", mercenaries get hired to protect and enforce their interests.
3. There are mods to turn the Thieves guild into a more "Robin Hood"-type of organization.
4. Have you even played the game? Or have you skipped Esbern's dialogue? Why do you need competition? Besides, only the Dragonborn can perma-kill dragons.

Anyway, I have no idea whether you're trolling (especially with the last "faction"), or this is simply your daydream, but let's end it.

I was thinking a guild that does trade but are also mercenaries not they hire mercenaries. So you know merchant warriors. It only makes sense.

Well norse berserkers were in fact like that. Have you read Beowulf, he fought Grendel naked with no weapon, that was part of the norse berserker story. It's a proof that one does not fight with weapon or armor as a boast and their ability as a warrior.

My idea of the good Robin Hood thief organization is less about filling their own pockets.

I have played the game yes. If you have any other questions, I'm willing to share as you have answered my own so it's only fair.

Am I trolling? At the point of being on the internet there's no use saying if I am or not you take me as I am now if you think I'm foolish that's fine too. I don't have to prove if I'm a troll or not.

I did have to question you because I see your kind reacting this way without an explanation either it's because I brought out some kind of trauma in you I have no idea. It could be Bethesda didn't answer to you, I'm not expecting anything. I say this for myself.

Also it's up to you to end it.

You should lay off the skooma, it's been known to damage one's intelligence...

@OP, Don't listen to the rest of these miserable dorks, they spent so much time on these forums that they forgot how to have fun or roleplay, and they're lashing out at you for their own complete lack of imagination.

As for your factions, I think it's important to take the lore, among many other aspects, into consideration and making sure your ideas align with the world into which you're implementing them. That said, I think some of your ideas could work with a bit fine tuning.

I personally felt like giants were a missed opportunity in Skyrim. They're clearly sentient and intelligent beings, that live in tribes and have a hierarchy, create their own clothes and tools, etc. It would have been interesting if they were implemented more broadly with some player interactions, short of killing them for quests.

Whatever the case don't expect anything fro Bethesda except maybe as some paid CC
armageddon Mar 9, 2024 @ 12:21am
Blue Blood: Blue Blood is a faction of people of a royal lineage but they're willing to allow anyone in such as the Dragonborn or anyone with special blood, if you're not the Dragonborn you can take out a nobleman and take a proof or badge from their body to join as they do not ascertain the actual blood nor they have means to do it, a third way of joining is becoming adopted by a nobleman, one you can save on the road from bandits. They take care of matters such as politics and governance with some business sprinkled in. They created this faction to create a gentleman's club, an oligarchy of sorts.
