Question about Destruction Spell Ritual

So I made Destruction Legendary and quickly got it back up to around 50-60 with my new "reduce spell cost to 99%" enchants (I put the "reduce cost of X spells" perks elsewhere since they're useless now).

I got the Destruction Ritual quest from Faralda before making Destruction Legendary and I'm wondering if I have to level it back up to 100 to turn in the quest or can you still do it if your Destruction is lower than 100?

if i recall you just need one elemental spell of each type. you can proably do the quest you just wont be able to use the master spells after untill your leveled back up

I'm at 90 destruction and got the book. Twice. Its not showing up on the map and I hope it resolves when I get it up to 100. Using the unofficial patch so I thought this would've been fixed.

I don't think that quest shows up on the map. I don't recall "M" working even when I was at 100. Or do you mean it's not showing up in your journal?

The ritual quest is unmarked, you have to use the very vague unhelpful "hints" from the book. Your skill does not matter. 15, 100, or anywhere in between.

yeah, was hoping to have the marker so I can just 'head in the right direction'. I did the fire thingy but I can't tell whether there was an entry. Went back to winterhold and ?Faralda gave me a new book.

Maybe I should read both copies to see if there is any difference.

There should only be the one book, i'm not even sure how you got a second one. The book changes as you do the quest. As I said, it's unmarked, there is no marker for this quest.

as long as you complete the quest it makes no difference . the book is supposed to update with a new page after each part of the ritual , then you return the completed book to her at the end. there are no quest markers . you need to figure it out on your own. being below 90 destruction after going legendary wont affect the quest as far as i can remember , but it will mean they wont sell any more master tier spells untill you have reached that level again.

well, I placed it on the stand south west of Dawnstar and did a fire spell on it. Somehow went to winterhold and spoke to Faralda. And she gave me a new book. I use an unofficial patch from over a year ago.
