Is Fultheim important?

People I messed up. I was doing some mission for the empire. I talked to the stormcloak courier and it basically ended with my housecarl killing Fultheim.

I see he has some weird stuff on him.

There is no problem with killing stormcloaks where ever you find them.

But he wasn't stormcloak. Some drunk guy. He just saw me commiting a murder and started a fight with me. He had a blades sword with him.

There are 2 Fultheims in the game, though the 2nd one can only be encountered in a specific location during a specific quest. The one you killed isn't used for anything. If he was truly important, you wouldn't have been able to kill him in the first place, as he would be marked as Essential.

Well this one was drinking at Nightgate

Yeah, that is the unimportant one. The other one can only be encountered during the Dark Brotherhood questline.

if you are a high elf and go in there he will attack you on site. His sword is an indicator he is a Blade in hiding. When I get to that part on this play through, I am going to see him wearing full blades armor to see how he acts.
