Mods not staying enable in the creation tab
Hello. I recently moved from regular skyrim to the anniversary edition and I have run into some trouble with modding, especially with this 'creation' tab (library?).

It seems to be necessary to enable the mods that I installed via Vortex in the creationg tab by using the load order menu. The issue is that each time I restart the game I have to reactivate manually each mods and its begining to be tedious, especially for troubleshooting.
I tried using the 'enable all creations' in the options you get when you press the 'O' button but it doesn't do anything (it seems none of these options are working).

Is there a way to use mods without having to deal with this 'creation' library ? If not is there a way to enable all the mods at once or keep them enabled ?

You must enable the mods in Vortex.

They are enabled in vortex, as are their plugings.

Then they should work, no need to fiddle with that creation tab. Who even told you that you need to enable mods there as well?

When I try to launch a game without enabling them in the creation time, they suddently don't work somehow. Now that I think about it maybe it has to do with Vortex ?

You need to tweak Engine Fixes:

In short, open the file "EngineFixes.toml" in your "Skyrim Special Edition/Data/SKSE/Plugins" folder and change the following line under [Patches] to false:
EnableAchiementsWithMods = false
Follow the link for an explanation.
The SKSE Plugin Status page also suggests setting the following entries to false:
SaveAddedSoundCategories = false
SaveScreenShots = false
in respectively [Patches] and [Fixes]. This workaround prevents mods from being deactivated when using SSE Engine Fixes.

It doesn't seem to work. My mods still don't work unless they are activated inside the creation tab.

Did you enable them in vortex? Not only installed, but deployed?
Antiochos Mar 9, 2024 @ 12:58am
They are indeed deployed

Does the mod content show up in-game?

When I load a vanilla save game, unless I activated the mod in the creation tab, the mods content doesn't appear in the game. It appear greyed out in the creations tab inside the system menu ingame

Do you launch the game with vortex?
Antiochos Mar 9, 2024 @ 1:27am
Yes I do. Sometimes, for good mesure, I try to directly launch the skse64_loader.exe but the results are the same

So you have the mods in Vortex, they are properly installed and deployed, you launch the game via vortex, but the mods still don't show up in-game? Are there any error messages?

Also, what is your deployment method?

No error messages. It's as if they were not activated unless the creation tab says so.

You may need to backup your mod folder, reinstall vortex, then move the mods folder back in and deploy anew.
