1) R-click the record (of the ring), "copy as override", then in the list select a new plugin (bottom of the list, the one with only the ESL flag I assume). Then give a name to the new plugin.
2) R-click that new plugin, select 'Add master', and in the list select the plugin that defines the keyword.
3) Now you can add the keyword to the ring in your new plugin.
Of course if you insist, you can modify the original plugin and skip to point 2. To add a plugin as master, you have to make sure that plugin is higher in the load order though.
Or if your load order looks like this:
Plugin A
Plugin B
You can't add stuff that's from plugin B into plugin A because it comes lower in your load order. It must be loaded prior and added as a master
Did it like you explained step by step in the newly created plugin and still got the same error message when adding the keyword..
Oh wait, I went into the plugin again and there are two rows now, the first is JS Rings and the 2. is the created plugin. I tried adding it into the 2. and it did not give me an error now.
I'll try it ingame if it works now
