Has there been any news on Skywind? I don't mean to bash the game or anything. I love Skyrim, but compared to Morrowind, it's so shallow, from content and depth, to scale. Just wondering if anyone had any idea related to the release date intended for Skywind? I've looked around online, but don't see any information on release dates.

It's got a much smaller team than Skyblivion, the last time I've seen something on it, Levitation was part of the progress showcase. I think it'll come out long after 2025, since that's the ETA for Skyblivion

It's supposed to still be Skyrim, pretending to be Morrowind

the remake mods are dumb and a waste of time.

you want to play morrowind play it. want to play oblvion play it. the talent spent on them would be better used on tamriel rebuilt or beyond skyrim not remaking what already exists

It's clearly not a waste of time if so many people want it. Morrowind and Oblivion are both dated as hell.

The only project of this kind that was finished is Morroblivion and literally nobody cares about it now.
You only want it when it's cool videos on youtube
Also if you think games can be "dated" you don't deserve to play them in any form anyway.

Skyblivion is literally a year out from being finished. Whether they get finished or not is irrelevant to the point to begin with - plenty of mods never get finished so are they all a waste of time?
I've wanted the games remastered since before the fan projects even started, making assumptions about someone like that is an easy way to look stupid.
Third point is just an incomprehensibly stupid thing to say and objectively wrong. Plenty of games, especially when the industry began transitioning to 3D, were fine for their time but are exceptionally difficult to return to when dealing with tank controls, input latency, etc. Saying those games can't feel dated would be an incredibly moronic hill to die on.

Oh of course they can FEEL dated. But as with any "feeling" problem the source of the problem is you. They don't feel dated or difficult to return to, or discover for the first time, for me

I have played Morrowind, over and over again. I'd like to see how it turns out on the Skyrim engine. The combat difference alone will be nicer, I would imagine. Granted, I haven't played Morrowind with mods, but still. It does indeed feel dated, especially the combat.

I didn't intend for this thread to become an argument, lol.
