Problem creating character
I'm having trouble with character creation. When selecting the race it does not let me modify any options.

It also doesn't let me accept the character's default configuration.

I can't move forward...

Has this happened to anyone else and how did you solve it?

Try clicking on what you want to change on the top bar?

Do you have any mods installed? Enhanced Character Edit for instance, conflicts with Racemenu. There's also different versions of Racecompatability.esm that conflict with other mods.

ECE is very buggy, i would recommend using race menu.

here is what you need

RACE COMPATIBILITY
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2853

RACE MENU
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19080

if you want more detailed character creation options install this after
race menu:

COTR - CHARMERS OF THE REACH

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27405

and this because COTR needs it

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1315

and its COTR patch

https://www.nexusmods.com/Core/Libs/Common/Widgets/ModRequirementsPopUp?id=144355&game_id=1704

if last link does not work you will find it in COTR bottom section.

my avatar picture's character was created by using this combo. working fine with newest version of the game!

++++ COTR will give you new races called DZ races. they are basically the same you already got but these ones are fully configurable. the problem on DZ races is that they can only use hairs and eyes and stuff that is 'open for all races but not beasts' . with hairs you wont have a problem and most of the eyes are also compatible. if you want better beards i would recommend you SV BEARDS and the COTR patch for it. if you are experienced modder than you can also use creation kit to make everything compatible for yourself by setting your race to 'all races but no beasts' if you want to play beasts than you need special eyes and hair.
