I have tried to install sse engine fixes but it makes the game not load any idea as to why?

I hate to tell you this , I did the same thing around a couple of weeks ago and it ended up in a complete delete and reinstall to get my game going again , As for why this happened , my theory is the maybe the mod hasn't been updated with the recent game updates .
