I highly doubt they will port it now if they haven't ported it for 12 years ....

Gaming on Mac? Weird fetish. Expensive, too. But I won't judge, ok? Just don't forget to set up a safe word. With at least one upper and lower case, as well as a number.

Seeing how Skyrim is not a high powered game by today's standards you might want to try a virtual box in your Mac. Install Windows 7 on the virtual box and then install Steam into Windows 7 and then Skyrim. Better yet get the original 32 bit Skyrim which has even lower requirements.

I say lower requirements because a virtual box can be a system drain but if you have enough RAM, at least 16 gigs, and a good video card you just might pull it off. Something to think about and look into.

I beg to differ with you. Yes I have played lower powered games in a virtual box. Today's computers are more than powerful enough to pull this off. I am not a Mac person but my other computer is a Linux computer that has Oracle's free virtual box, which has a version for a Mac. No not all games work but some do and the challenge to see what works can be fun. I am not guaranteeing this question asker it will work but it is worth a try.

Reread my first post about Mac gaming being a very strange and expensive fetish.

Of course, running it in a virtual box would work, but why should anyone have to jump through so many loops? Just get a console or PC. You can easily buy both from the spare change after ordering a Mac.

Or simply refrain from buying that extra set of wheels, and it should be enough for a decent gaming rig.

Alex, I like to tinker and I know running a VB is not for everyone but they can bridge the gap for those who have a different OS from the standard norm. Besides Oracle's VB is free so why not try?

I'd gladly agree with a fellow linuxer, but supporting macs is where I draw the line.

Besides, I don't think that OP would be comfortable with tinkering. They want support!

I just looked into this at Oracle's web site to make sure there is a Mac version and there is however there seems to be an issue with the newest release for Mac's and newbies don't need issues. So right now now I am backing off this recommendation. Hope he/she is reading all this.

I wouldn't recommend VMs to newbies even if there aren't any issues. If they are newbies, they wouldn't know what that's for, and if they do know, then they aren't newbies. Which means that OP would need to educate themselves about the topic first.

Or, just buy a gaming rig. That would be far easier.
