Stealing Plans bug
It wouldn't let me turn in the mission, Yes I have the mod installed and installed it prior to starting a new character.

It would be helpful to know the quest your on. You mentioned a mod, which mod.

And why do you think it's a mod issue. Can't really help if you don't give us any info.

The Unoffical patch. Stealing Plans is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in which the Dragonborn is tasked with retrieving the plans made by the Silver Hand so as to uncover the location of their headquarters and strike against them. This is one of the Silver Hand Campaign quests given by Aela the Huntress

DPMR,
Did you ever get any resolution to this issue with the Stealing Plans quest? I have the same/similar problem with this quest in the Special Edition version, but cannot find any support. I also have the UESP patch installed.

If you are trying to say USSEP(Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch) then OK, that fixes one of the bugs.

Look at this article in the wiki, see if it answers your question.

https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Stealing_Plans

If not, come back and we can look into this further.

I didn’t really answer the OP because they were talking about original version of the game and patch.
The questions can’t go to far if the person asking them isn’t even sure.

DPMR,
I just did a search trying to see if anyone who had encountered a problem with the Companions "Stealing the Plans" quest and your comment turned up. I did not realize you were a support person. After I posted to you, I finally figured out how to submit a bug/glitch issue to the USSEP AFK Mods bug tracker, Ticket# 211108-005041 with my best description of the issue and a save file from just before I started to complete the quest, CR10.
I very much appreciate your offer to help. I do not know if it is a problem with USSEP or an unidentified bug with the game itself. Would you like me to explain the issue in as much detail as I can or I am guessing you have access to the ticket, is that correct?

More likely a bug with the game than USSEP.

I just went to the Bug Tracker page and it now says my issue is 6506. I am confused though, there was a post by Arthmoor closing the issue and saying "Should be fixed for USKP 1.2.4." I apologize, I do not know what USKP is.

I have had USSEP Version: 42 installed since I began playing the game.

I apologize again. I am confused by the process. My issue was 31691, but it is no longer listed. I received one communication saying "Category Changed: Actors ---> Quests", But that is the only communication I have received. I apologize again, I have not worked with the Community or the Bug tracker before.

If you look at the UESP page I posted early on you will see in bugs section, this was suppose to have been fix in the first versions of the patch for original 2011 Skyrim, USKP(Unofficial SKyrim Patch).
Each version of the same game will carry most of the patches over to the next.

Since it has a ticket, I would assume Arthmoor is tagging the ticket with his comments.

I am not sure where you found version 42 number, the current version of the Patch is 4.2.5b

If you received an email about it would have to assume it is still active.

It was listed as Actor and the bug track bot changed it to Quest, this alerts the person who works on these type of bugs that it is in their ballpark.

Until you receive an email stating “won’t fix” or “already fixed” it is still active.

So what will say to us, more than likely you need to make sure the Patch is at the top of your load order, and that you started this play with it installed at that time.

Thank you for your advise and clarifying the process for me. The patch is the only mod I have on this game. I installed the patch as soon as the opening sequence "as a prisoner". I did receive an update after this bug started. The Version 42 is what is listed at the top of the screen when I click on the MOD option after starting the game, but before resuming actual play.

So your using USSEP from Bethdesa mods?
Faux Fox Nov 11, 2021 @ 1:35pm
I am not certain. I bought the game on Steam. It "seems" like the patch was offered as soon as I activated the game. It is also possible I got a link to it from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls site. I just don't remember for sure. I believe the version I have is 1.6.318.0.8. That number is in the lower left corner of the Systems page. When I pull the mod, all of the links are to www.AFKMOD.com. Isn't this the best patch available? Does this tell you if it came from Bethdesa mods?
Faux Fox Nov 11, 2021 @ 1:36pm
I took a screen shot of the mod page, but it doesn't look like I can attach it.
