HELP: Can't return to Solstheim from Epistolary Acumen

Mora has given me the second word of power for 'Bend Will' and now I have a prompt to talk to Storn back in Skaal.
However, when I activate 'to Solstheim' on the Black Book, it says it's autosaving and I'm stuck.

I've tried different commands to end the quest and all of them still leave me stuck in front of this book.
Dying doesn't help because it takes me right back here.

Please help! So frustrated and I don't want to lose the hours of gameplay I put into running around this ashy island! I just want to finish, get out of here and go back to my kids in Whiterun :( :( :(

Have you something installed recently that overwrites fast travel? I ask because years back I had fast travel disabled in the frostfall mod and it also disabled the return to Solstheim from the books

You need to be making regular manual saves, including before you read any of the black books.
Save often and don't rely on autosaves or quicksaves.

In game? Not that I know off, How did you go about fixing it? This is my last quest on Solstheim :'(

Then you should have one from before you entered the book, meaning you can reload and try again.

It was a option ion the mcm of that mod in the line of disable fast travel ... however there are mods that do that and if they mess with that mechanic ...

I'll keep this in mind for future play, but I'm more interested in how to fix this right now so that I don't lose the 7 levels between an old save (which I was lucky to have) and this one.

exact same problem happened for me . and cant return to solstheim after choosing between 3 reward . ( i had the same problem in previous black book wind of change and it happened for me again in black book acumen... in prev book i could solve it by not messing with 3 reward and just choosing one and reading the book )
but in this book i couldnt do anything and reading the book will not return me to solstheim....

as my last choice i used command coc dlc2skaalvillage01 to force travel , and hopefully it worked and moved me to skall village , but i wonder will it affect the game ? and corrupt mission progress ? i have no idea about that !

when i was in village i quickly did a normal fast travel to nchardak to continue the mission, and hopefully neloth and my follower were there .... and i could speak to neloth ....
