Whats the problem with the USSEP mod dev?
Game updates and it ♥♥♥♥♥ up everyone's mod lists, half my mods stopped working, downgraded game and started to downgrade the mods I updated, but than when it came to USSEP it just gave me a massive headache. The mod dev delisted the older versions of the mod and won't let people download them because they "Don't support downgrading". I had to spend a hour going around the internet looking for the older version only to find a link that lets me directly download the older version off their mod page. But the question is, why are they so against having older version of the mod up? It doesn't cost them anything, and it lets people play the version of the game they wan't. Some dude in the posts asked where the older version was and i replied with a link to the version, I ended up getting blocked off their mod page, why be such a prick about it? I looked into it and apparently they've been doing this for years now and its just a massive headache to deal with for no reason.

Because he's a Bethesda cuck, that why. Simple as that. He's on his knee's 24'7 slobbin that adherence to Bethesda's latest update Creation Kit monetized mods etc scam. Sail the seven seas for his past versions. I'm still on game version 1.5.97. Never gonna upgrade to the latest garbage.

There isn't a polite answer. For anyone looking for the older versions, here they are:

USSEP (v4.2.5b) for SE 1.5.9.7
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266?tab=files&file_id=209150

USSEP (v4.2.9a) for AE 1.6.640
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266?tab=files&file_id=392477&nmm=1

Yeah I did some digging and the dude's been doing this for years now, its not a recent thing, why be such a cuck about things? Plus this is just bad for the modding community not being able to access archived versions of mods, mods are supposed to be open to the public, not hidden.

My guess:
Users will ask for new fixes in old patches/complain about bugs in the older versions, causing confusion.

"I see you fixed # bug in 4.3.0, why can't you update 4.2.6 to include the same fixes? Are you lazy?"

That's understandable, but that's when you have disclaimer in your description, like every mod has. And also why you just ignore those type of people, like every other mod dev does. Either this guy can't handle a online presence, or is just a ♥♥♥♥.

I gave an award for looking it up, but unfortunately both of your links go to the same mod. Just letting you know.

Also, as the OP said, archived mods for this one are blocked, so I can definitely understand the frustration for anyone needing to downgrade.
The links through steam break, when you click the link, itll add amp; where files&file_id are, itll say files&file_id. Just remove the amp; and it will take you to the download link. Even with archived mods that are delisted, the links will take you to them, steam just ♥♥♥♥♥ up the links due to their system.
Also could just copy the entire link and paste it into your web browser and it won't break it, clicking the link through steam does.
These are the active working links.

Well, technically, if you have upgraded by accident, you should still have your previous version when downgrading. Depends on which version you a downgrading to though.
