Console spawning a Legendary Dragon for achievement?
So I'm finishing my new playthrough, just need to do Dawnguard and then I'm set
But I've focused on getting some of the achievements along the way and I'm not that far off from 100% completion if I just decided to make a Nightingale character.

Thing is the worst achievement now isn't even the Thieves Guild Hall one, but Legendary Dragon, I'd need to get to level 78 for them to spawn, and I'm very much not interested in grinding 30+ levels just for that one achievement

So, if after I do everything else, would it disable achievements if I just spawned one in with the console and killed it legit with my underleveled character? Or does the spawning itself already lock me out?

It's going to lock you out.

Some achievements conditions are triggered by the game, and using the console in order to get them will NOT give you the achievement (and rightly so, I might add - sort of like "oh, I didn't go to that event, and could not get the award for attending, but mark me as being there anyway, so that I can" :steamfacepalm:). This is one just achievement - the legendary dragon required for the achievement is triggered by reaching the level necessary for it to spawn, if you have not reached the necessary level, it is not triggered properly, and thus, no achievement.

I've never had console lock me out of achievements. The warning in the console is telling you that certain commands can make some achievements impossible - not that it locks you out of doing them.

Hell, people have gotten a bunch of achievements by using the command to force complete every quest and stage. It will also probably melt your computer. So don't actually do it.

As far as level grinding OP, it's extremely easy to do by using the fortify restoration exploit using alchemy. Brew some Fortify smithing potions and restoration potions to boost your alchemy and/or enchanting, then you can just smith some iron daggers that will instantly bump your smithing skill to 100, legendary the skill, make another dagger, legendary the skill, etc. You can get to level 1,000 in like an hour or two this way.

Alternatively, just set your level with the console so they spawn "naturally".

Huh, cool that there's a out of the box solution for "cheating!"
But yeah I'd obviously expect that just typing "kill" on it would lock the cheevo, but I'd say if you're under 30 levels lower than the Dragons spawning, it would be fair game if you could beat it already.

But yeah maybe some year I would come back to it, but currently I'd just move to another game for fun lol

it's not that I don't know all the nice tips and tricks like soul trapping dead horses, healing in the blacksmith's forge, restoration loops and whatever, thing is I just don't find it fun whenever my playthrough comes to that point, then I would just like to hop on to another game to have some fun for a couple of hours instead of working for a single achievement.

or you could just type: "player.setlevel 78"in the console and get legendary dragons to spawn naturally that way
