Missing Follower
Hoping someone can help me retrieve all the stuff I had stored on my follower. Something happened to her in a tough fight and now she's missing. There's no body and she hasn't reappeared at my house after several days. Using the moveto player command does nothing. Moving myself to her takes me back to where the fight occurred, but there's still no sign of her or her body. She was carrying a ton of stuff that I would rather like to have back, if anyone has any ideas, please.

Did you unrelenting force her while in an awkward tilt?
Her body could've flown somewhere and you need to search a big radius for it
At least that happened to me once and I just stumbled on her body after I had already completed the game by then.

No, I was using the Kill shout. Anyway, wouldn't the teleport to her still take me to her body?

Are you sure she is dead and not just stuck somewhere? Skyrim followers are normally "protected" and so they go down on one knee instead of dying and only the player can normally land the killing blow (this is not always the case, they can still die from like poison or a AE spell from a enemy).

If she is perhaps stuck a trick that works is to fast travel to Septimus Signus's Outpost, for whatever reason this works great to retrieve lost followers. Serana for example cant exit Broken Oar Grotto and ive had to use the fast travel to the Outpost to get her back before.

Again, I teleported to her location. She's not visible anywhere near that spot

Skyrim never has any bugs so her being somewhere besides the last spot you saw her could never occur. Why come here asking for help if you cant click the map and try the advice offered? Have a nice day.

In any case, after 72 in-game hours and if the follower isn't dead, they will return to their home base. Keep in mind, this means they will walk all the way home. For Lydia, this is either Breezehome (if owned) or Dragonsreach.

It's been way longer than that already. I've searched both locations thoroughly. Her bed is still owned, but she remains MIA.

Doesn't teleporting to dead characters usually lead you to the Dead Body Cleanup Cell after they get despawned? You could wait a bit and see if that's the case.

I do not know what that means, but I'll try teleporting again. Thanks!

Update: I used a console command to set my follower count to 0. Now, teleporting to Lydia's location takes me to Breezehome, but she's not visible there. Is it possible for followers to turn invisible? If so, is there a way to fix that bug without resurrecting her? It's not that anything she was carrying was crazy valuable, but I had a huge amount of ores stored on her that I don't want to have to mine/buy all over again

Try the enable command, that or first disable and then enable again. If that doesn't work, post your load order, maybe something is terribly wrong with that.

Tried enable and disable then enable. She's still invisible. As for load order, I'm sorry, but I don't know how to find that. I'm not using any mods, if that helps.

Did you happen to give her modded armor or an item that was from a unique mod? I ask as some have had the issue of unique items or armor causing the NPC to be invisible.

You may try "resetinventory" console command.
Do keep in mind that this may cause all the smithing resources you gave her to be deleted.

Alternatively, the "resetai" command my help with bugged NPC's.
