it should always be approached with the caveat that it simply might not work for you.
I feel like they do it out of spite at this point.
To be fair the sex mods are one of the things that kept the game alive for years for many people, it should not be underestimated. If you check how many people download and visit the websites (views), you realize they are extremely popular and in fact a great addition to the game for a few of them.
I think that Bethesda updates on purpose to demoralize the free modders and channel people into buying their creation stuffs. I mean this patch adds almost nothing, it is totally unnecessary, released without patch notes in a rather sneaky way because it was supposed to hit steam later I thought.
Thankfully we can downgrade and lock the game from updating.
The second one should be like this though correct?
download_depot 489830 489832 4341968404481569190
download_depot 489830 489831 3737743381894105176
download_depot 489830 489832 4341968404481569190
download_depot 489830 489833 2442187225363891157
I only downloaded this in the steam console, ignoring the other much larger download depots = download_depot 489830 489833 2442187225363891157
then replaced the the newly updated SkyrimSE.exe with the older one.
I ignored the other multi-gb downloads, I can now load from SKSE and all my mods seem to be working fine. Thankyou to Thc4u on Nexus for revealing this.
i was a bit wooried , spending 1 month to make skyrims more fun with more 700 mods ( just starting modding , it was hell to jump on 1.6.1130 , take me a long time to understand skyrim se is more like syrim AE for some lib. dll )
do i need to check too , those free CC contents they give by default on the skyrim SE or they may conflict with my other mods ..?
EDIT: Nvm, i think my disk was full lol... :P
Well, it definitely is annoying. A huge part of why Skyrim got so popular in the first place and why they could release it 10 times already was the modding community, but i guess since they couldn't get a slice of that pie, they're doing this so you'd go and buy mods from them or whatever?
Just separate the SE and AE editions, and leave this one alone, let AE be the updated one. Same like they did with oldrim and SE.
