The Creation Club mods are literally designed to work alongside one another.
Y'all are literally fussing about a limited scope that ends when the compatibility between all the connected Creation Club mods runs out.
Lol.
People think that some mods being paid-for will eventually proceed to "free" mods being banned and only mods accessible being from Bethesda, and then all mods accessible to be paid-for.
And considering how long ago the Horse Armor was pushed... Well... People have the right be cautious.
Personally, I see no wrong in paying a modder for a mod, but I also think a modder should not be forcibly tied to the maker of the original game, nor should he "have" to share profits.
Or, for that matter, any plugin for any application can be made paid-for by its author, but makers of the original application should not get their cut for that plugin if they did nothing, because they already got paid for the application.
Now, one could also argue that within lawful limits in some jurisdictions makers of applications may have some ability to restrict plugins and/or demand their share of payments for those plugins... Yes maybe... I just do not think it is "right", but also I am a faceless internet entity, I can think whatever I wish, and no one is obliged to obey =D
Although I must say, the "East Empire Expansion" looks like a step in the right direction, but until they add a dlc sized mod these updates aren't close to worth it (at least for pc players).
Ah, but the number of its sales multiplies by its cost! Profits! =D
I direct you to this mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18860
- Made for 1.6.629
- Worked flawlessly on 1.6.640
Your comment is literally half-baked, lmfao.
why don't modders deserve to get paid?
All 7 of them. 😮
And just how much do modders get paid after Bethesda grabs their share of the profits? And probably Zenimax and Microsoft as well?
Bethesda doesn't care about the modders, this is just another cynical, lazy attempt to milk even more cash from a 12 year old game.
Paid mods are still paid mods, regardless of how many of them there are.
