Honestly the bigger problem is no fast travel points out how ridiculously fast things re-spawn in the the open world.
Survival itself the worst part is the reduced carry weight and that they then make you become tired ridiculously fast if your your carry weight. Staying Fed is honestly the easy part, especially with the fishing addition.
Are there any bonuses for playing survival? Better loot or money or more damage or anything? Just epeen?
In Skyrim or Fallout your +3 sword doesn't mean jack.
Nothing mechanical, at least. Survival Mode just adds in restrictions or blocks certain things. Its more for those who want more of a challenge. Though Survival Mode is more annoying than challenging.
Not challenging, but I enjoy having a purpose for food and houses (free beds and additional carriages)
I some specific areas it's nice to have something against the cold. Food is not an issue because it is abundant. Also werewolves and vampires can easily feed on npcs everywhere too.
Vampire and beast forms help precisely with the travel time and carry weight situation. Vampre lord has unlimited CW, werewolf has +2000 bonus. You can run to your nearest house and stash some stuff
