Any ideas for a Warhammer fantasy build?
Want to make a character based of either Ghorst or Heinrich from the vampire counts but I'm not too familiar with their lore, so any ideas or thoughts on what gear/spells I use? (I use mods so feel free to recommend any that would fit)

Vampire Armour obviously, if u become a vampire lord, you get a drain life spell, if you don't fancy becoming a vampire, you can still get drain life spells. As for weapons, draining weapons would be suitable.

Which weapon though? Daggers would fit the stealthy profile or Bow, possibly a 1 handed sword. A sword generally do's more damage then a dagger, and allows you one hand free, for casting drain life.

In keeping with the Vamp theme, Conjuration would be a great skill and Alteration, I'd also suggest sneak and pickpocket, further fitting the stealthy vamp theme, I'd give some thought to alchemy too, the right toxins an poisons can make a tough fight easy.

Maby this'll give u a few ideas, you can make some very powerful potions from the outset, just google the ingredients, go get them an "experiment" at the Alchemy table.
If you do decide to go Alchemist, then get the CC MOD Goldenhills Plantation, gives you quite a lot of "planting spaces"

It also gives you a income too, so free gold.

UNLESS, those particular Vamps prefer big ass swords and rushing the enemy, in which case, i'd suggest switching Alteration for Destruction, but you wouldn't be able to wiled a big ass sword and a spell.

Sound awesome and I'll definitely give alchemy a go since I'm only now really getting into it

I think i have a poison, that Paralyses for around 17 seconds, as well as a toxin that causes 101 concentrated poison damage, and then, lingering poison damage, not so hot against Vamps,(pesky immunity to poisons)

So…first off: neither Ghorst or Kemmler are vampires.

So scratch any notion of being a vampire.

They are both necromancers who summon hordes of undead (zombies, ghosts, etc) so any vanilla or mod-added spells/summons/staves/clothing/mechanics that are focused around necromancy is what you want.

I'm a Necro werewolf, wid top skills in Destruction, Conjuring, Alteration, Sneak and Pickpocket. Handy with bow or dagger, deadly with magic.

As Necromancy should be your focus, you may want to check out some of the major Necromancy overhaul mods like Immersive Necromancy, Corpse Preparation, PsiKotics Necromancy Mod, Vile Art of Necromancy, and The Dark Arts.

Pretty sure you can’t use them alongside one another, so you’ll have to browse them and see which appeals the most to you.

Other things to consider if you’re really trying to go for a Ghorst/Kemmler type:

1. You’re not doing the fighting, you’re doing the summoning and magic casting. Your undead minions/summons are the ones directly engaging with enemies. Neither Ghorst or Kemmler are “warrior necromancers”. Thus, you’ll want to make sure whatever Necromancy overhaul you choose allows for multiple summons and ones that won’t take 2 hits and vanish.

2. Kemmler had Krell - a big ol’ undead Chaos Lord that acted as his right hand/bodyguard/champion. I haven’t looked, but maybe there’s a follower mod out there that adds some kind of big undead brute-type companion that could act as your “Krell”

3. Some of Mihail’s mods add in undead/ghost/daedric enemies and include summoning spells for them - could interest you.

4. There are a couple “dark” spell packs out there that add in additional magical abilities with vampiric, shadowy, necromancer type flavors that utilize other trees besides Conjuration. Check out ones like Bloodmoon, Flames of Coldharbour, Desecration, and the one or two other similarly themed spell packs by the same author.

5. For some necromancy themed quests and such you should check out Undeath, the Plague of the Dead CC, and some of Slimsire’s mods - specifically the one where you can either side with Mannimarco or Meridia.

@Fear, No fear, i'm on legendary, an with uncheated Inf mana, i can take out anything with just summoned creatures. I did have to spend the perk points in Conjuring though, otherwise ya creatures are far too weak, even found a way around the summon limit, can summon 9 NPC's instead of 2, no cheating there neither.

I summon 2 waith lords, or what-ever there called, when they die, they split in to 3 ghosts apiece, the ghosts arnt affected by summoning, so I summon the Skeleton Champion, which lets me summon 2 skeletons, and the champion gets a bonous to damage for each enemy it engages, so great fro groups.

Kemmler is known as the lichemaster, maybe I could twist it a bit to make him a lich? I will be using tainted blood ( a mod that allows you to become a werewolf, vamp and lich) mainly because I'm also using sacrosanct which adds a few spells that go well with the vampire lore of magic but I don't intend to ever use the vampire lord form

I'm using Ordinator right now and the creator of the mod told me using any mod that changes how raise dead works will f up a perk I want to get to create my own krell ( the perk allows dead thralls and dread zombie to use equipment I give them) so unfortunately most necromancy overhauls won't work. I read somewhere when I was doing research for Kemmler that he was surprisingly proficient with a blade though I'm likely going to let my undead do most of the work and only use melee if enemies get close.
Mihail adds spells to summon the creatures! I thought they were just world/random encounters, thats awesome I'm gonna have to search around and see what can be summoned! I'm gonna definitely check out those dark spells packs and the quest mod, thanks a mill for the very informative help!
