New Update?
I keep hearing about a new update breaking everyone's mod list but for me the game appears to be up to date since the anniversary update was released. Does this new update only effect xbox people or something?

I think most people complaining are just using a pre-made modlist and doesn't know / are not confident enough to do the modification themselves. I can understand how it could be frustrating for them
But there's 12 years of modding documentation available to help you get started, on top of a very active modding community.

It affects all platforms, including PC.

Interesting, I haven't noticed any update or change in the app. I just want to make sure I lock everything down so my load outs don't break.

Make backups of your files on a removable USB drive.

Calm down Hall & Oates

I'm making the distinction between using a carefully crafted personal modlist and one just downloaded from nexus or wabbajack and slapped in without much thoughts.

>> Well, it is affecting everyone bro, every single platform. SKSE, Address Library, etc, etc for PC has been updated, however, there are some mods that are still pending to be updated cause with that Bethesda update, they broke the entire structure of the game.
Powerofthree updated his mod yesterday but some players are reporting issues still.
My game is running perfectly well with all the updates I included in my new playthrough but ... here is the catch : I CANNOT CHANGE THE DIFFICULTY IN my gameplay settings ... it does stay in NOVICE. I modified my Prefs.ini and still does not do it, so even though my game is running fine with all the updaged mods that I have, this issue that I got is new to me.
I've been modding this game during the last 8-9 years and that never happened to me, so the game somehow is still kind of full of bugs.
There are also some modders reporting that updating their mods is not that simple as it was before the update, simply because the structure of the game has been modified by Bethesda and that is one of the reasons some modders have not been able to update their mods.

Thanks for all of the context, I might be switching over to GOG skyrim or YoHoHo skyrim, don't need Bethesda breaking my toys when I'm not looking.
