Khajiit Suck (Sort of)
During my first time I said khajiit are *** here is what I said:

They are not better then nords or imperials in any way. First of all there skills are night vision and more unarmed damage. Kinda awful, unarmed fighting is only good for 2 things. First an unarmed build which is unlikely you will use an unarmed build, especially because warrior and thief builds are more fun and more powerful. Also night vision, seriously this one is a boring ability. It is exactly what it sounds like, seeing in the dark.

Next complaint is that there are cats. What a boring animal to put into the elder scrolls games. You could've created a dragon race, like the dragonborn race in dnd. I do understand that they have some lore, better then wood elven lore. Because there barely is any. Btw the wood elves are my second least favorite race. There lore isnt as interesting as such the argonians or the dark elves. The khajiit lore is not terrible. Although I think being a cat in the game attracts a lot of furries... yeah.

I don't want you to hate me, sorry if I sound like a jerk. Back into my opinion.

My rankings for races:

10: Khajiit. Honestly overrated and have no good abilities.
9. Wood Elves. Lore is boring and have boring abilities. I mean command animal is so lame.
8. Redguard. I don't hate or like this race. kind of mid.
7: Imperial. Same thing as Redguard.
6. Breton. Same thing as Imperials and Redguards, but with magic.
5. High Elf. Good for a mage build.
4. Dark Elf. Best magic race. Have fire resistance which is very useful.
3. Argonian. Underrated and the best race to be a thief in.
2. Nord. This is skyrim. I would've ranked nords at like 5th place if this was morrowind or oblivion.
1. Orc. Personally by favorite race.

First lets mention despite I made a list, I like Dark Elves, argonians and orcs arguably equal to each other. Same with all of the human races. The only reason why I put nords high is because they are the main part of skyrim and are kinda the lead race for the game, however Redguards, Imperials, Bretons, and Nords are all equal to me because they are all human and have not too crazy abilities. Second lets mention non video game related. I dont really like cats as an animal because I just dont really like them. Also there is a much better pet, dogs. Dogs are sweet and I heard that dogs will not eat you for 2 months if they were starving and you were dead, but cats would've eat you clean by the 50 hour mark. Finally and the main point is that cats were chosen to be a race, and that they couldve chosen dogs, and that they have the worst abilities, and 20% of you people play khajiit characters.

I play Argonian and am offended by your hatred of the Khajiit. I for one feel a kindred fellowship with my fellow farm equipment.
So you not want to be a cat?

If you combine breton with maxed out alteration and shield skills yo have a character that laughs at spell damage and is very resistant to arrows as well.

lots of ♥♥♥♥ talk in this post. khajit are great for werewolf and vampire builds, bretons are NOT the same as imperials and redguards. are you insane dude?

Bretons have 25% resistance to ALL MAGIC. let that sink in

Argonians are trash. nobody gives af about breathing underwater, there's nothing to do in this game under water, you will spend less than 1% of your time under water, if you need to breath under water in this game you are just stupid

Just cause you are a Khajiit does not give you Black Panther skills. Gotta work at it.
Every race besides Orcs and Bretons suck. And since Orcs power functions almost mathematically identical to turning the difficulty down, I would never let myself use it in a playthrough.

So yeah, everybody except Bretons suck.
Why resurrect this subject again?
do you honestly imagine people have suddenly changed their minds for no good reason?

To recap what I said a few months ago, Elder Scrolls were one of the first game series to do cat people, everyone else copied them.

And the races were fixed in the first game, which was thirty or so years ago.... they aren't adding new races, and if they did, fans have other races they want before some boring dragonborn ripoff.

Wood elves lore is boring? I guess you don't know about the green pact and if a wood elf wilfully kills any plant life in valenwood they turn into werewolf like creatures as a curse, and as a result wood elves in valenwood are strictly meat eaters and most are cannibals as they eat the dead wood elves.

It's Skyrim. Everyone starts out at 100/100/100 on Health/Magicka/Stamina, except High Elves, who start out with +50 Magicka and are always 5 levels ahead of any other build. Unlike Oblivion, High Elves don't have elemental weaknesses anymore, so they're imo the "best" mages. Not that it matters when Nord mage is indistinguishable from Breton mage and therefore all other races are tied at #2. Starting skills are barely important past Lv. 5.

Bretons are less broken than they were in Oblivion (1 easy to get ring = immune to all magic), which is good. Breton / Orc magic resist is decent but not insane, Nord / Dunmer 50% Frost / Fire resists are more useful thanks to Dragons.

Khajiit have trash for racial powers/passives sure, but it doesn't matter since everyone else has equal stats (except Altmer, again) and most greater powers just aren't useful. Breton, Orc, Altmer, Redguard, and arguably Argonian are the only decent ones.

So honestly, I have I think 4 Nord characters right now but considering Altmer have +50 Magicka and an actually useful greater power that helps any mage or hybrid build, and no longer have any weaknesses as seen in previous titles, I'd say Altmer are probably best on anything that isn't a totally physical (melee + bows, no magic, etc) build.
Again, doesn't much matter, Skyrim wiped Attributes and any meaningful racial / sex differences so every character does everything just fine and eventually transcends into effective godhood anyway.

There's several lakes and a lot of coastline you've never bothered to explore because you can't breathe underwater and you can't do anything about Slaughterfish until you have Flame/Frost/Lightning Cloak, so you assume there's nothing to do there because there's only one quest I can think of that tells you to find something at the bottom of a lake.
Water Breathing is, for some reason, a stupidly expensive, Expert level spell in Skyrim despite it being an early, cheap effect in all previous titles.
Yeah its not a super useful passive but in general, everyone's passives are milquetoast at best.

I would argue that the Altmer advantages in Magicka are great only at the very beginning. Their passives are even easier to replicate than Bretons because ANY +Magicka item (Like the Novice Hood you get at the start) can just be unequipped and re-equipped when you're out of magicka to restore however much was on the item. It's basically as if you had infinite potions.

Bretons are still the best because Magic Resist is slightly harder to get and early game Dragonskin + Atronach stone is a monstrous combo.

Now, if you want to run Altmer just because the Thalmor are awesome and Nords are stinky ice people, then have at it.
