Re: achievements re-enabling for SSE

Hi everyone, I just started playing SSE with mods from Nexus Mods and not Creation Club but the same says that I have Creation Club mods on despite having deleted them out in the files.

How do I resolve the issue in order to regain achievements?

You can't remove the CC mods that are part of the base game (Fishing, Rare Curios, Survival and Saints & Seducers) since November 2022.

CC content does not disable achievements, the new marketplace content does. If you are using mods or the console in game then your achievements are disabled, you'll need a mod achievement enabler and it's dependencies to re-enable them. You know it's working if the [m] beside your game save disappears.

Edit: Think this is it. I've got all the achieves so I haven't needed to use it in awhile.

Well you will always have 4 Creation Club mods installed since they made those 4 free and default to skyrim with the anniversary update. The rest of the creation club mods that are purchaseable through the anniversary dlc, you can install them as you wish. They won't disable achievements though. So if your goal is achievements, you can leave them on without issues.

The stuff that disables achievements, are "Creations", which are the new paid mods and also is the new term Bethesda decided to give to mods in general in their service, including the free mods, and mods from third party websites like Nexus Mods, etc.

There is a way to still earn achievements though, if you decide to keep using mods that disable achievements. And that is to use mods that remove that restriction, but all of said mods require Skyrim Script Extender to be installed one way or another.
