cc resource pack
After installing CC content and nothing else, LOOT gives me the following error

Resource pack
This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves.

Anyone know how to resolve this? It's installed by the game so i can't remove or disable it.

I've 'heard' the fix is to just delete the .esl file it puts in your game directory - actually the data directory of your game directory - BUT - I have that same ERROR message in LOOT, I use MO 2, and SKSE to Load my game - not STEAM's direct Icon/desktop load Icon for Skyrim.
And the 1st ERROR was BEFORE me updating SKSE to ver 2.2.4 (from silverlock.org) website - for the update to SKSE - because Bethesda updated their "Resource Library" without any new warning/notification of the update that they made in "Engine Fixes," a warning you MAY/NOT have seen/received. tho I did NOT notice/see/get any message from Bethesda/Steam or Silverlock about any Update I MAY have received and not SEEN - and my game just FAILED to load AT ALL, on 12-4-2023.
The 1st "error message" being: "Skyrim version 1.4.1130 is NOT supported by the version of SKSE that I have - 2.2.3," YET, I have been using 2.2.3 since October 2023, with 174 mods added and over 500 hours of perfect working modded game play - So, I updated and upgraded/reloaded the NEW SKSE version 2.2.4 from Silverlock - it's a MANDATORY update to 'FIX' the SKSE error/upgrade that was caused by Bethesda's "Engine Fixes" on 12-4-2023 to Skyrim SE - ver 1.4.640.0
It's already been 36 hours of no game play - downloads and install HELL of the New SKSE version 2.2.4 that IS absolutely for SE 1.4.460.0 with SKSE64 (so you can load/use most mods). and NOW I have a NEW ERROR in LOOT, that shows in the LOOT run window SORTING/Apply/Update Masterlist - of any new added mod files it says on the list of mods 'sorted' showing: _ResourcePack.esl and I QUOTE "This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves." IN pink highlighted text block related to _ResourcePack.esl
Now, there are 2 files I've discovered in the search for the ResourcePack.esl file in my Game directory - and FOUND 2 files with the ResourcePack file name - one, a .bsa file that says its 874 MB of data - yes. 874mb that's almost 1 GIG of data in it, and titled ResourcePack.bsa and the ResourcePack.esl (thats like 27.5kb a TINY file 'plug-in" that BOTH came outta nowhere from Bethesda's Engine Fixes they DID without telling anyone, although SOME ppl supposedly SAW/GOT the notification and FAIL game LOAD issue, too. I only FOUND out after RAVING to skse TEAM email - even tho it says not to email I did, and got quick response email about Bethesda's upgrade causing an SKSE problem they resolved with a new upgrade - version 2.2.4 for Skyrim SE on Silverlock.org -
But, like stated - 36 hours later, I'm still NOT working/playing my 'light' modded game due to the NEWEST ERROR after installing 2.2.4 successfully - and that's the ResourcePack.esl ERROR we both have/share as of NOW, 12-6-2023. If YOU have/GET/FIND a fix -
PLEASE UPDATE this POST, as I WILL if I FIND/GET the final FIX to solve this mess of a huge problem.
SORRY for such a long post - not easy to explain all that's gone on for past 36-hours.

Just ignore the warning of LOOT! It's not yet aware of the changes made in the update. If you are using Wrye Bash as mod manager, also ignore their warnings (no idea about MO2 or Vortex). I'm already running the new version of the game (1.6.1130) without problems. Don't try to use SSE Engine Fixes for the time being, as it will deactivate mods not part of the base game.
I have this error too, it is just ignorable? I've updated all my mods and SKSE. Currently RaceMenu is not updated.

Yes, you can ignore the error. I have done so while testing my own mods for SSE 1.6.1130.
Strange i updated all mods and removed race menu mod and it still crashes on load, only noticeably from this same error, on LOOT. I could be wrong, it may be another mod i have about 200. Looks like its the day to purge mods on skyrim again XD

Do you have mods that are still version 1.70 with a BSA file? That gave me a headache as scripts stopped working. I had to extract the BSA and install loose files to get the scripts working again. I just started all over again, installing mods one by one, as I completely messed up my 1.6.640 install.

LOOT will require an update to reflect the changes that have been made. Until it is updated, it will continue to wrongly show that error.
One by one installing worked, it turned out to be dear diary and quick loot EE that was crashing my game

Ive disabled the plugin (_resourcepack.esl) on vortex it works for me.

so for me it ended up being quick loot EE that was breaking my game, i suspect that mod is brokey right now, i tried looking for an update but theres no new files on nexus :steamsad: might be a work around but i just wanna slay dragoon so back to old school looting for me for a while
Kinda late here but I'd like to keep the cc content while also being on 1.5.97.

It causes issues with other stuff so, can I remove it and still have cc content? what's going on?

No. The new content requires the updated .exe and compiler.
What about the "bestofbothworlds" thing?
Can't I use that patch while also keeping cc content?

Personally I'm not a fan of this kind of solutions. It may work (in the short time) but, what about the long run?
