Wabbajack and skryim modding tips.
I'm posting there because i figure this might be more active then the class version but I'm currently doing a 100% modless play but my family member watned to do a modded run but is afraid to touch my game data. Dont ask she just is. So i thought i would set her up on skyrim classic. I now it's older but being it's immune from modern stupidity that is Bethesda i could get her into that on. I went on wabbajack but saw NO mod list's but then I remembered Nexus had a modlist as well because I honestly want to be lazy but she really want to a play something like the youtube vidoes we watch. So my main question is do nexus lists work like wabbajack and install everything without me needing to spend 2 weeks collecting mods.

You can find the information describing how it all works on these three pages:

https://modding.wiki/en/nexusmods/collections/about - an overview

https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/getting-started - what you need to know about Vortex

https://modding.wiki/en/nexusmods/collections/how-to-install - this applies specifically to your question

Good luck!

Know that to use nexus collections or wabbajack, you need a paid nexus account. But yes, they do work the same, if you use their Vortex mod manager it's quite easy.

it's literally meant for the impatient, you can do this manually for free, or you can pay. Then you both can have these simultaneous profiles, not to mention you yourself can start experimenting with mod usage, without interrupting your vanilla playthrough. It's a good thing.

OH i know. LOL, ironically i manage to buy a Nexus permanent premium account years ago. When i mean managed i mean like the last mouth it was offered. one of those things it was like, "Just in case." because even back them i had issues with creation club but knew skyrim is "That game," the one you play that you dont like it, you can hate it even but everytime you get on your horse you feel that bliss.

so i also get to make personal knowledge jokes i no matter how stupid Nexus gets i will always be a premium member for semi Free.

You do not need a paid Nexus account for anything. Nexus is completely free, unless you choose to pay (getting a paid account eliminates ads and allows a faster download speed - but it is purely optional).

Until you want to install a wabbajack list with 1000+ mods.
Good luck doing that with a free account. I mean you can, but it's gonna take days off your life, might as well as cough up the $7 or however much it costs for a month.

I am currently doing this haha. I have currently spent 12 hours staring at my screen because I didn't realize I would still have to manually click download on each mod without premium. :sad_seagull: Only 114 out of 1400 mods left so I don't see a point in getting it this late into the day. This is my first time making a huge modpack so I wasn't sure about getting nexus premium, but if I ever decide to download another modlist I will definitely be purchasing nexus premium, and I thoroughly recommend doing so for anyone else thinking of using a skyrim modlist.

Oh I'm lucky because I got full premium just before they removed the option. Aka a padded their full 50 ero thing for unlimited premium. Which I'm happy about. Double happy because when they pull woke nonsense like the tomb raider thing or taking down the mod to replace the flags in spider man I get to know they will never make another scent.

You gotta be a special kind of ... something ... to download some other guy's 1400 mods. For one game. Every Bethesda title I own combined doesn't add up to 1400 mods. That's just crazy.

Woke up like an hour ago and decided to continue, but since I have a capped download speed it is taking quite some time to finish the big mods. I got 46 more mods left to download. Wish me luck that this installation worked and I don't have to redo this.
