SKSE problem
I haven't played for a long time. Run mods through Vortex. I get this error - "You are using a newer version of Skyrim than this version of SKSE supprts. Be patient etc etc."
Runtime: 1.6.1130
SKSE64: 2.1.3

I looked at some threads but can't seem to fix it. Any help? Thanks

Update SKSE. You need version 2.2.5.

And also any other mod you have that relies on SKSE .

Now I get an error when starting game from Vortex that says "SKSE Plugin Loader - Adll plugin has failed to load correctly. Engine fixes.dll couldn't load plugin" and some verbage about new update etc. It recommends I don't run it, but the game will run if I bypass it. Any ideas? Thanks again.

My idea is.....read your error messages. Seriously? Do you mod? Sigh.

Engine Fixes still need an update, but there is a work-around for it. Search here on the forum or the posts at nexusmods.com. There has been plenty written about it, but you are not too late to the show. Many are having issues with the latest Skyrim update and have started to fix their game in one way or another (or only come here to vent).

Thanks sdack. I'll keep digging around.
I did read my error message. I didn't want to type it all, and was pretty sure you would get the gist of my problem anyway

I think I finally got it back to normal! What can I do so that doesn't happen again?

As KAYLAKAZE said, the correct SKSE version to match game's version 1.6.1130 is :
- build 2.2.5 ....

Also, to avoid that dll. error, you should not install any mod that will install in your game any .dll file cause after the game was updated by Bethes-dead, .dll files are not working properly for this new version. According to modders, the structure of the game was messed by Bethes-dead after they updated it.

They're trying to squeeze skyrim to the last drop until it dies. Push you to the creation club ♥♥♥♥ by breaking the mods.
