Using controller causes CTD

i have the Anniversary Edition 1.6.1130, all my mods are updated (using MO2) SKSE is updated too. When i plug in my controller the game will just CTD, i could be in game and as soon as i plug in my controller or turn on the controller the game will CTD....no other game i play with controller has that issue. If i have to play with MnK so be it i'm not at all picky, i just want to know if anyone else is having a similar issue and if you found a way to resolve it.

I am in exactly the same position. The only Nexus mod I've discovered is this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107591 but it is for the Gamepad++. Using it I can get the controller back, but the button bindings are a mess.
Not many people seem to be discussing this so I assume it is not affecting everyone. Definitely a Bethesda issue.

I tried to use that same fix but it did not help.

I was so happy i finally got everything working and then I decided to enable my controller and my game ctd and could not start untill I unplugged the controller from my pc.. Modding is such a pain in the ass

that was literally me, i finally upgraded to AE and everything works fine. it's just the controller that does not work. I've been doing some research and some folks also have the same issue but nobody has a clue as to why.

I blame Bethesda for updating Skyrim making modders lives difficult just so they could change the official user interface for downloading mods and sell another useless creation club item

Todd Howard at it again -____- if they really want us to play Skyrim why break it with stupid updates, they know everyone plays Skyrim with mods and they decide to "update". Unbelievable. BETHESDA. STOP. UPDATING. SKYRIM.

This is happening to me, too. I really hope someone is able to come up with a fix for this. They would be my hero!

i am using this mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42492. this seemed to help...however the controls feel a bit odd. the game works so i guess i will have to adapt. let me know if this works for you.
