Can't get any mods to work with skyrim AE
I am modding skyrim again after the most recent AE update that screwed with my previous load order, and several very important mods are simply not working. I am using Vortex, I have installed the most recent skse64 (2.2.5), and I have been launching skyrim using the skse64_loader in the Skyrim Special Edition main file.

I've only got a few mods in my load order right now:
SSE Engine Fixes
All in one Address Library
Alternate Start
Racemenu
Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64)
SkyUI
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch

Alternate Start, Racemenu, and SkyUI are all not working. I've re-installed skyrim and re-installed/deployed my mods several times and I can't seem to figure this out. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1. SKSE must be updated to version 2.2.5
2. Address Library must be updated to the 1.6.1130 version.
3. update to the latest version of USSEP for 1.6.1130
4 download the SkyUI SE - Difficulty Persistence Fix to make Skyui work
5 make a text file named steam_appid.txt containing just 489830 and put it in the same folder as SkyrimSE.exe. This wiill allow steam to track playtime an achievements. It also solves the problem with creations showing as not owned when starting Skyrim outside steam.

As for Racemenu that will need an update to make it work.

SKSE, Address Library, and USSEP are all updated to 2.2.5 and 1.6.1130 respectively. I tried the SkyUI SE - Difficulty Persistence Fix and unfortunately it didn't fix SkyUI for me. But thank you for responding so quickly.

One just do not use mods and update the game. Sadly we have no option here... I am in the same situation....

Even though you have updated SKSE, make sure that there are no .dll or other files remaining from the previous installs of it, as those will cause the game not to launch.

I've made sure there's only the most recent version of skse present in the game folder. Also, do you happen to know if re-installing Skyrim through steam accomplishes anything useful? I've uninstalled Skyrim and deleted the left-over files twice and it didn't do anything, and my old corrupted saves were still present upon re-installation.

SSE Engine Fixes has not been updated, but as a workaround you have to change a few lines in the Data/SKSE/Plugins/EngineFixes.toml file.
SkyUI has also not been updated, bit there is a fix for the difficulty persistence issue.
All the other mods have been updated for SSE v1.6.1130. As for Arthmoor's mods, if not on Nexus, at least on AFK Mods.

Cool, thanks. I think I'll just wait and play bg3 for a while til more stuff has been updated so that this'll be less of a migraine and more of a mild headache. Thanks for the response and info.
