can't play with mouse and keyboard.
I didn't realize you can't use a keyboard and mouse with the anniversary edition. When I turn the game on it thinks a controller is connect. However I do not own any controller at all, I only play with mouse and keyboard. I googled it and all the advice I found doesn't work. I'm just letting people know you'll need to buy a controller if you want to play skyrim on the computer. This was such a disappointment

Since the release of the game, I have changed 4 pc and never had such problem. Even when I tried to play with the xbox controller. So there is no need to tell people false information.

In steam it shows that there is a controller connected. I have never used a controller at all on this PC. I found in window setting in hardware a HID gamepad driver was setup. I deleted it and now I can play Skyrim. All the other advice from googling never worked. So if anyone is having an issue make sure to check in hardware that you don't have a HID gamepad driver installed even if you have never connected a controller to your PC.

Skyrim SE installs with the gamepad option enabled by default. At times this has caused issues with M/KB players. For most, there is no issue. The gamepad option can be toggled on and off in the System menu in the Gameplay selection.

The HID gamepad driver you saw is actually just a universal driver suite that comes with Windows.

still wouldn't mind a mouse patch for the game
-disappearing dialog menu's when clicking
-sticky dialog menu (hover over not working)
-webbrowser scrolling on the 2nd monitor while scrolling in skyrim
open the launcher.
Go to settings.
Find the tickbox for controller
untick it
write a note to steam explaining that tick is a word and correctly spelt so they don't need to highlight it when writing a post.
Play the game.

In game, go to options, turn of the controller settings, close the game, double check the config file to make sure it's off.

That took like 2 seconds to find.

I may be wrong, but maybe check your settings within your PC - like xbox-Gamebar and stuff alike. You said steam is detecting a controller - so the fault shouldnt be skyrim but your pc/steam/xbox-gamebar.

For the Webbrowser/2nd Monitor head to mouse settings for windows and turn off "scroll inactive window" or something like that in windows-settings. It's a newer 'feature' from windows that doesnt really work for many games and when you use a second monitor
