stop with the porn mods!

While I appreciate the notion of keeping crap out of games is it too late now to do anything about it. It makes more sense to stop a trend like this one right from the beginning and to avoid it from building up momentum. Getting rid of it afterward means it requires more effort because people will keep trying to have it their way once they get their foot in the door. And since the game has long past its zenith is the maker also not much interested in putting up such an effort. Sites like nexusmods then have no control over it, because they are just along for the ride and are profiting from it. Anything they do to prevent it means people will go to other sites.

Anyhow, it is good to see people still care about the issue and voice their opinions.

Not sure if it is a good thing that people care.

There are two ways of looking at it, that people want to stop Porn from being promoted, and that people are busybodies that want to interfere with what other people are doing on their own computers...

I still hold to the opinion that people are allowed to make their own mistakes provided it doesn't interfere with anyone else. And I hold to the opinion that Porn falls into that category.

Ok, Steam and other sites should monitor what is uploaded, if only to ensure the right tags are applied, allowing filters to block Porn. But who has the right to say "You can't have Porn Mods"? I certainly don't, even if I have no interest in Porn mods.

I have no porn mods, never have had any.
I just don't think we should be saying what other people can and cannot have on their computers.

Me too I have no interest to mod my game that way .... that said I don't judge if they want that in their game their choice ..... I mean lots of people don't like mods like wet and cold or ineed or such do we have to ban them too? All I'm saying let the people decide for themselves.

Mods need to be tagged appropriately so that filters work correctly. This way you only sort to the content you would like to see. May never be perfect, but this does need a huge improvement so that at least the majority is what you want.

If you are depressed over what kind of mods others use, or that others use mods at all, then that is a "YOU" problem. No matter what you do or do not like about mods does not give you the right to control what others do in their single player games. Doesn't matter if you think it is a "mistake". It is not your place to lord over how others play the game.

Before anyone makes any wrong assumptions, I have not applied a single mod. I have considered ones to improve function of the game (cleaned up UI, revamped magic system, etc.). I have nothing against people choosing porn mods in their game, but I just don't have interest in them myself.

The issue is not that porn mods exist. The issue is filters working correctly with mods tagged appropriately, and the player using those options to sort out what they don't like. Any other crusade against the human's desire and enjoyment of sex has no place in the world.

That said a lot of the community art is labeled wrong so there's that and i don't get the impression STEAM curates that section very well.

The game is rated M, and there's even a prompt to verify your age, so they don't care.

sexual content is rated A for adult (18+). M is 17+.
