Can't Run?
So, I've tried everything but I just can't run the normal running speed. When I'm supposed to be walking, the speed is that of being over-encumbered. When I press shift to run, I go the normal walking speed, instead of running. When I switch this around with caps lock, I walk normal speed but when wanting to run and pressing shift, I walk slow, like I'm carrying too much (I'm not). I haven't altered anything in the Skyrim Prefs or in-game settings. No new mods since my last play have been added, I just opened Skyrim and selected my game as normal, now everything is off balance and I've spent ages googling but it's all 'noob ur carrying too much' or 'lmao you're crouching' but it's literally neither of those things. I'm about to light my PC on fire.

You missed the point.

When you hit caps lock and go really slow, that's the walking. The other speed is actually running. And you only sprint (which is what you are thinking of as running) when you hit ALT/
okay thanks, i think it's a bit obvious im new to pc skyrim lmao
No problem, running in these games is usually the default, you just don't realise because that's what you start with, and you automatically set that as walking speed in your head.

I've seen this discussion on other games, so it happens a lot.

silly remark perhaps is your caps lock key on?

There's 3 speeds:
- walking
- running
- sprinting
shift/caps toggles between walking and running
alt activates sprinting

But that's the problem, I'm not able to run at all. I've changed all my controls, checked the caps lock but still haven't found a way to run.
