A new esoteric bug [Dawnbreaker + Circle of Protection]

The best thing about Skyrim is that its bug content is infinite, so you'll never get to the bottom of it.

So I ask, in case it's from my own installation: when you proc Dawnbreaker's aoe, the spell Circle of Protection no longer works (undeads completely ignore it, there's no "X has resisted the spell").

If some kind soul could confirm this - or even give me a fix, we can dream.

Circle of Protection is one of my favorite spells and I have this exact same problem. Hasn't worked on my main char for months now. Did you ever happen to find a fix?
