Is there a way to prevent physics from dropping items?
I have a mod to prevent Hearthfire homes from resetting or respawning. It works inside but not outside. I used Jaxonz Positioner to place statues of Ysgramor and Auriel outside at Heljarchen Hall. I then placed Wuuthrad in the statues hands and placed Ysgramor's shield in front of his feet standing up. Same with Auriels bow and Auriels shield. The other day I noticed all 4 items were laying down on the ground. I also tried placing heartstones in the eyes of a dragon skull mounted above the entry to Heljarchen Hall. They kept falling out as well. This is even after using Jaxonz to "lock" the items in place. This is frustrating since it is a lot of work to get these items aligned properly. I am guessing the world resets every thirty in game days. The heartstones were falling out frequently. It seemed much less than 30 days. The other 4 items stayed put for a long time. Probably 100 hrs or more. I was at Heljarchen Hall frequently decorating the home so maybe that prevents things from resetting as fast? I need a solution for this.

This will happen to any object the player can pick up. Jaxonz Positioner works only for static objects, furniture an other objects that can't be picked up, as far as I know (I don't use JP). You should probably do this in the Creation Kit by making a static copy of those objects or when the original object is placed in the Render Windows right-click the item and check the box for "Don't Havok Settle". You also need to add defaultDisableHavokOnLoad.psc to the Scripts tab in the Reference window for the item.

Jaxonz Positioner works for any objects - id it only worked on statics, it would be pretty useless - LOL!. Once you place the item and lock it in place using Jaxonz, the items should stay where they are placed. In fact, in all the years I've been using Jaxonz, I have never seen what you have described - items not staying locked; indeed, yours is the first time I've even seen this being posted as an issue in all my years on the forums. The first thing you need to do is ensure that you are using Jaxonz properly - double checking is always a good idea. Then, make sure that you have the FPS capped at 60 - the engine is note designed to ruin over 50, so - even if a person uses mods that claim to "fix" it, things are still likely to go wrong.

And it is not a good idea to be using the Creation Kit to do this (or any minor in game edits, for that matter) - especially if you have no experience using the kit in the first place.

Everything inside stays put. The few items I placed outside fall at some point. I am using Jaxonz properly, used it in my previous playthrough as well. I am not locked at 60 FPS. I am using SSE engine fixes or display fixes or whichever one allows higher FPS and have had zero problems with my 400 hr playthrough except for this. Try it yourself. Place something up off the ground like a heartstone. Place it outside one of your Hearthfire homes and see if it falls at some point. So far I can't pinpoint a specific amount of time it takes to fall. I still think it has to do with the world resetting every so many days and is dependent on whether or not I have been to this location within that time frame to stop it from resetting.

I presume you are using Jaxonz Positioner Converted, ported by SirTurdle. He has tested it on SSE 1.5.73 and states that not all functionality may be available for later versions of SSE.

Exteriors reset in 10 ingame day, Interiors in 10 or 30 days.

Yes, I'm using the converted version for SE.

If you are using the 1.6.640 version of SSE, have you tried the No-SKSE version of JP? If the issue persists, you will probably have to wait till someone ports the Oldrim version for SSE 1.6.640.

I don't think it has anything to do with the functionality of Jaxonz. The items I am putting outside are able to be interacted with normally. I can place them, copy, rotate, resize, lock, etc. They just fall to the ground after a while.

That might very well be part of the functionality that is not working for versions >1.5.73, It may be caused by changed functionality of the SKSE64 DLL plugin for 1.6.x versions. JP for 1.5.73 depends on SKSE 1.7.1, where SSE 1.6.640 requires SKSE64 2.2.3.

I didn't know, I'm not a JP user, as I said! No need to be sarcastic!

As far as I know, you are still using SSE version 1.5.97. If so, it might be working for you, but might not be working for anyone using SSE version 1.6.x.

BS! If there is no other way and there is no proper update of the mod for the current SSE or SKSE version, then there is no other way than to use the Creation Kit. Still, there's no update of the SKSE DLL plugiin!

I just fired up the game and the weapons on the two statues dropped again. This time it wasn't even 10 in game days. I looked around inside Heljarchen Hall to see where I might move the statues to and didn't find anywhere I liked. I'm actually burnt out on my second playthrough at over 400 hrs. I'll just delete the statues and put the weapons inside somewhere.

Jaxonz Positioner works with the current version of the game with no significant issues - significant being the key word here. Why you are having the issue you are having I can't say. However, the versions of Jaxonz Positioner that are in use for SSE are the only versions available - one uses SKSE64 and the other does not - though I cannot comment upon the one that does not use SKSE. The functionality should not be impacted either way, however.
